Howard F. Knight's 501(c)3 Manipulation of May 07, 2008:





As anyone can review and study for themselves this letter NOT written by Burton Decarr MUST have been created by someone else, because he could barely sign the document in the first place! Who is the "she" consistantly referred to at the bottong of the Burton Decarr proclamation? Any Adult with a Guardianship, cannot sign a legal document without their legal guardian present at the time of their signature. The Guardian MUST witness and acknowlege the signature. So.....THINK ABOUT IT. The State of Vermont did rescind the Amended Nonprofit Biennial Report Form that was created by Howard F. Knight Jr. and his "followers".

Again, Jeanne Antoinette (nee: Lalime) Lincoln - Kent of Winsted, Connecticut SHOWS that she ~and~Daniel B. Osgood Sr. were communicating with Howard F. Knight Jr. regarding Paul Wilson Pouliot and in regards to what Jeanne Kent herself posted on her blog Morningstar Studio.
So there was a "Smear Campaign" going on by Jeanne Kent & Co. which included most definitely Howard F. Knight Jr. against anyone trying to discuss or "bring to the table" their concerns regarding Vermont State Recognition issues.
On Page 04 of this posting, Jeanne Lincoln-Kent )Jeanne Antoinette Lalime (in her very likely idiotic paranoia and slander against others) states that, "As owner of a Native American message board (Olidahozi), I was forwarded "documents" by one of their members, who was using an asssumed persona.
Actually she was accusing my sister, Jeannette who resides out in Washington State of being a member of Paul Wilson Pouliot's "western groups" (which my sister doesn't not know about at all). Secondly, Jeanne Kent removed my sister off of Olidahozi, then sometime in April 2008 and again quite recently without warrant or reason for doing so. The alleged "doctored" papers used as "evidence" was signed by a Notary Public and secondly, the State Secretary of Vermont did recieve from Howard F. Knight Jr. an Amended Incorporation Paper entitled Nonprofit Biennial Report Form dated May 31, 2007 N-10074 name of Entity "Abenaki Nation of Vermont, Inc., The Native American & Abenaki Affairs Principle Office Address 573 East main Street Newport, Vermont 05885. Registered agent's Name: Ret'd Chief Howard F. Knight Jr. Name of each Officer: Howard F. Knight Jr. (President) - Coos Turtle Clan, Lucie Caron (Vice President), Karen Mica (Secretary), John Davis (Treasurer).
Board of Directors: 1. Howard F. Knight, 2. Virginia Tortosen, 3. Jim Haskins, 4. Matthew R. Knight (adopted Grandson to Howard F. Knight Jr.). Following this was Burton Decarr's signed Letter Affidavit in which his Guardian MUST HAVE BEEN PRESENT, who was none other than April St. Francis-Merrill of Swanton, Franklin County, herself to be witness to the signing of that document, because Mr. Burton Decarr himself could not sign ANY legal document lawfully without his appointed State Guardian present at the time to witness that signing of such document! I'll post this 3 Page document in the next posting here on this blog for all to review. I would almost think that it was Howard Franklin Knight Jr.'s handwriting on Burton Decarr's letter! Again, the so called alleged "Retired Chief" Howard Franklin Knight, Jr. has been making this sh** up as he goes along and created yet another 501(c)3 Incorporation. These people are NOT truely and bonefide members of ANY genuine Abenaki Communities "Clans".

LaPointe and she later married to Rodney Allen Black in 1985. Daniel Osgood Sr. later married to a woman named Ida. Daniel B. Osgood Sr. and his daughter "Carolyn Black" previously were allied with (and members of?) Paul Wilson Pouliot's group based in Franklin, Massachusetts. 2nd Signature: Howard F. Knight Jr. (born on May 31, 1941 in Connecticut, and son of Howard Franklin Knight Sr. and Marion Corabelle Cook). Howard F. Knight Jr. married to Minnie Florence Davidson December 24, 1963 in Harlingen, Cameron County, Texas but they divorced June 17, 1997 in Newport, Vermont. He later went to Russia and remarred in Derby, Vermont on March 06 2003 to Ama Cojuhar Coblai.
3rd Signature: Nathan E. Pero (Nathan Elwin Pero is the son of Elwin Merle Pero and Alberta Lorraine Preston). He was born August 22, 1949 in Thetford, Orange County, Vermont. It was ALLEGEDLY Elwin "Joe" Elwin Pero who became friends with Howard F. Knight Jr. AFTER Howard Knight and his wife Minnie relocated to Thetford, Vermont in 1979 according to the obituary of Minnie Davidson Knight on August 01, 2006. ALLEGEDLY, "Chief" Elwin "Joe" Merle Pero of the alleged Nolka/Deer Clan who was allegedly chosen as Chief in the Spring of 1947, and was the first to organize alleged Abenaki People in the Coos/Koas area under his leadership and the leadership of alleged Council members such as E. Paige, R. Reginald A. Pero, A. Agnes? Pero, and Associate Chief M. Stone.
In allegedly 1980, the alleged Tolba/Turtle Clan and the Knight familiy allegedly joined the other alleged Clans of Nolka/Deer, Awasos/Bear, Molsem/Wolf and others of the Coos Band, and Howard Franklin Knight Jr. was allegedly elected as Associate Chief in allegedly December 1980. Then in allegedly April of 1981, the alleged Coos Band under alleged Chief Elwin "Joe" Merle Pero and alleged Associate Chief Howard Franklin Knight Jr. merged with the Eastern Woodlands Band under alleged Chief Richard "Black Horse" Phillips and Associate Chief Emerson Garfield, to form the Northeast Woodlands-Coos Band. 4th Signature: Norman L. Chenevert (born in April 1940 and living in Webster, Massachusetts. Norman Chenevert is the father of Brian Chenevert, current allegedly supposedly elected "Chief" of the so-called "Koasek Traditional Band of the Abenaki Nation". This alleged so-called Koasek Abenaki group's so-called "Sub-Chief" or "Co"Chief" was Nancy Millette-Lyons (now Doucet) but now is Paul Bunnell a.k.a. "Gwilawato". This group's website is http://www.cowasuckabenaki.com/ and is out of a P.O. Box in Post Mills, Vermont where Marion Corabelle (nee: Cook) who married first to Howard Franklin Knight Jr.'s father is buried in the Post Falls Cemetery. She remarried after her divorce (which happened on November 25, 1953 and was completed on December 10, 1954 in Orange County, Vermont) from Howard Franklin Knight Sr. to Thurman L. Johnson.
5th Signature: Karen Majka. She is actually the daughter of Harold George Bordreau and Joan Ann Martin. Karen's maiden name is Bordreau and she married 1st to Francois Charles Majka and she remarried to Edward Joseph Lamoine. "Karen Mica" a.k.a. Karen Majka a.k.a. Karen Lamoine was a genealogical researcher for Nancy Millette when Nancy Millette (now Doucet) was Co-Chief and/or "Chief for Life" of this Koasek group. Now Karen Majka is a part of Howard Franklin Knight Jr./Brian Chenevert's group still retaining the name of the group "Koasek Traditional Band of the Abenaki".

Reinvention of the Vermont Abenaki Creation Story:
In The Beginning, there was (no this ain't the Bible) Howard Franklin Knight Jr. and He Created Brian Chenevert as alleged Chief of the self-proclaiming and self-identifying alleged Koasek Abenaki. And then there was Nancy Millette-Lyons whom He Created out of God Knows what, as being the alleged "Associate Chief" of the alleged Koasek Abenaki. But she didn't like that "Title" so she became "Co-Chief" and then "Chief - for - Life". And on or around the Day of December 03, 2008 She was Cast Out from the Garden of the Re-Invented Koasek Abenaki group (no, she didn't eat a bad apple). Brian Chenevert with the help of Howard Franklin Knight Jr. concluded She was The Bad Apple, and alleged Before the Bad Apple spoiled the whole bunch of them Bad Apples, They decided to Re-Incorporate into the "Independent Clans of the Coos United, Inc." which was Created by Howard F. Knight Jr. Appearing to be Red Indian on the outside, they were all White on the Inside, and while none of them felt shame for their idiotic activities, they were still a bunch of Rotten Apples, the whole lot, stock, and barrel of them all.
Nancy Millette & Company, who were Cast out of the Garden of Koasek, Inc. then fled to the north, and after a long journey across the Internet and phone lines, entered into the Garden of Nulhegan, and there they felt safe, comforted by the likes of "Chief" Luke Willard, who retrospectively having fled from the Garden of Clan of the Hawk in August 2004, Created that Group calling itself the "Nulhegan - Coosuk Abenaki of Vermont, Inc."

How interesting that such a document was created and exists! It's full of bullsh** and distortions by Howard Franklin Knight Jr. of Newport, Vermont but thats here nor there. I simply concluded that I will begin to SHOW and PROVIDE the documented manipulations, deceitfulness, deceptions, lies, and outright absurdities of these people! So here is the first set of documentations.
Howard Franklin Knight Jr. was and is making up "Clans" as he goes along, appointing persons to be Tolba Clan, Turtle Clan, Wolf Clan, Rabbit Clan, Snake Clan, Horse Clan, and probably more "animal" Clans that the Seattle Zoo has in it!. Remember, these so-called By-Law's REFLECT an Incorporation. NOT a Tribe and not a Band. See Document Page 3 of this 5 page set under #6. and Document Page 4 under #9. Howard Franklin Knight Jr. WROTE/TYPED this 5 Page document up on his computer and emailed it out to people, and/ mailed it out. It is a fascinating piece of crap if I do say so myself.

Gov. Jeanne Shaheen has signed a Proclamation (again!) declaring this year's fesitval a Native American weekend to be observed by all people of the State. "This is such a proud moment" said Abenaki founder and director, Nancy Lyons (nee: Millette). "The Abenaki and native People in this state finally have recognition at last, even though it is only for two days."

Some Interesting Emails from Nancy Millette-Lyons and Rhonda Besaw-True:


1st document: Rhonda Besaw in reply to her cousin Nancy Millette-Lyons (now Doucet) stated, "my family is a mixture of Eastern and Western Abenaki. I identify as both Penobscot (Eastern Abenaki) to honor my father, and Western Abenaki to honor my family that lived along the Conn. (Connecticut) River in Windsor, Vermont and Plainfield, New Hampshire, and to honor my husband Charles Francis True Jr. (whom she married on January 26, 2003 in Lincoln, Grafton County, New Hampshire)....her father was Virgil Alan Besaw born September 12, 1931 and died march 12, 1981 in Monroe, N.H.....and his parents were Joseph Sylvio Bisson born Dec. 08, 1905 in Berlin, N.H. died Aug. 12, 1944 in France (never married) but had a son by Gretchen "Teat" Henriette Hill and she was born Feb. 01, 1908 in Fitchberg, MA...daughter of Benjamin Smith Hill born on Mar 03 1871 in Windsor, Vermont married Virginia Bythrow who was born Mar. 22 1885 in Lyme, N.H. died Aug. 22, 1965 in Monroe, N.H. daughter of Herbert H. Bythrow and Minnie Jane Nash born 1863 in Plainfield, N.H. whom was the daughter of Fields or Fifield Nash born 1806 in Plainfield, N.H. who married to Jane Prudence Walker. Jonathan Nash born 1774 in Plainfield, N.H. was the son of Littlefield Nash and Elizabeth. Littlefield Nash was born in 1739 Rhode Island and his wife according the 1800 Census indicates "white". Research of another, indicates that Littlefield Nash was somehow the grandson of Thomas Grinnell born May 02, 1711 in East Greenwich, Kent County RI, and Susannah Sweet born May 17, 1706 in East Greenwich, RI as well. Thomas Grinnell was the son of Mary Nichols and Matthew Grinnell. Mary Nichols was the daughter of Thomas Nichols Jr. and Mercy Reynolds. Thomas Nichols Jr. was the son of Thomas Nichols Sr. and Hannah Griffin. This couple Thomas Nichols Sr. and Hannah Griffin are also my direct ancestors. So, IF anyone secures the confirmation of Western or Eastern Abenaki in the Bisson/Besaw, Hill, or Nash lineages please contact Rhonda Besaw-True of Whitefield, N.H. and or myself.
I could say that I self-identify as Cherokee (Tsalagi ~ Aniyvwiyai) to honor my mother's mother and I could also honor my family as Abenaki/Blackfoot/ Algonquin because numerous ancestral descendants wrote down and stated that we were from these People here in the Northeast (Vermont, N.H., etc.). Just because they were from Kansas (ca. 1870's) doesn't make them Cherokee; and just because they lived in Vermont and N.H. doesn't make them or me Abenaki either. Just because someone says they are Abenaki, Cherokee, Blackfoot, or Sioux doesn't necessarily mean that they are. Just because they have an Abenaki ancestor doesn't necessarily mean that the descendant 8 or 10 generations later is an Abenaki either. Anyone can do nice beadwork, get themselves up in Regalia and attend Pow-wow's. That doesn't make them Indian or Abenaki either. Even a father having high cheek bones and nice white straight teeth doesn't mean that father or grandfather was Abenaki in a family photograph. "Looks", facial characteristics, or having a dark complextion doesn't mean an ancestor is Abenaki and neither does it mean a descendant of that person is Abenaki. I think people get the point I am making here.
2nd doccument: Dated 1/23/2008 7:33 P.M. Nancy Millette- Lyons (now Doucet) claimed to be Abenaki, and assumed she always would be such. Yet, I think her own ancestors had other idea's no matter how much fanciful thinking and claiming Nancy Millette did in the Yahoo Groups or in the media.
So, since I say my grandmother told my mother and I, "that the Woodward's were Cherokee and that her first husband's father was a Cherokee Chief in Norton, Phillips County, Kansas", and then I move to Kansas, Oklahoma, North Carolina, or Georgia.....does that mean I am a Cherokee Indian if I self- identify as such, to "honor" my grandmother "just cause she said these things to us when we were teenagers"? THINK ABOUT IT.

The Caledonia Record Newspaper Article June 09, 2006:


The first sentence I agree with 100% percent. That's WHY I am showing the documented historical records for what they are. Aside from my biased commentary, these documents speak for themselves. I have seen no documentary evidence that the Vermont Eugenics Program sterilized any women, men, elder's or children of the Abenaki, "because they were Abenaki". If such documentary evidence exists and is available from the people alleging that this happened, or from the State of Vermont or New Hampshire, please communicate with me and provide the documentary evidence. Please and thank you.

This whole being Abenaki business was all about the $$$$money$$$$ from day one with all of these groups in Vermont AND New Hampshire, and it was all about continuing to "hide" the truthful genealogical and historical records of ALL of these "Chiefs" ~ and their "Membership- Card-Holding "followers" genealogical records as well. Where is Rhonda Besaw-True's evidence that has been shown and provided that her ancestors being of Western Abenaki or Eastern Abenaki Ancestry?

MY RESPONSE:
Indeed, whenever I have attempted to address the Abenaki Recognition issues, etc. they seem to "throw this up" at me in their attempts to shut me down and shut me up.
They think that by implying that I am.
A. A BIG HAIRY MONSTER WITH LONG TEETH, FANGS, AND HORNS.
B. A SLOBBERIN' CHICKEN KILLIN' HOUND DOG GONE MAD.
C. A MENTALLY UNSTABLE PERSON WITH SCHIZOPHRENIA, ETC.
D. A PERVERT.
Well I got to say they sure do know how to tell a scary story for sure. But I can tell you one real story far more scarier and FACTUALLY DOCUMENTED than anything any Vermonter's ever heard before. All one has to do is read this blog and study the documents!
Their stupidity at trying to shut me down and shut me up is absurd.

I've attached the postings from the Yahoo Group "Olidahozi" tonight to this post. The subject of my Judicial history of 21 years ago I gave to Rhonda Besaw-True of Whitefield, N.H. some time ago. Since she has the copied Judicial records, go ask for them. She's given me all these emails, newspaper clippings, etc, regarding Nancy Millette-Doucet that I am sure she will have no problem nowadays in sharing anything I shared with her documentarily with those persons who don't want this blog to be here. Facts are Facts, Truth is Truth, even for me. I have nothing to hide from anyone.
My NON-CONVICTION Judicial Records from Washington State of 21 years ago, has absolutely nothing to do with Abenaki Recognition issues. So why this IDIOTIC person on this "other blog" brought up the subject of my alleged so-called criminal past is a stupid attempt again at intimidation to shut me down and shut me up. It won't work. Not now, not ever.
Anyone want to see my Judicial Records, my Psychiatic Records, or any other Genealogical documentation about myself, they are welcome to set up an appt. with my Attorney and a Lawful Court Judge! I will be glad to show these documents to anyone at that time.
Yet, the issue here on this blog is not about my (past-tense) Judicial history or the like, yet very much so the blog is about Abenaki Recognition by the State of Vermont and or New Hampshire etc and the merits of it being granted to these "groups" alleging to being legitimately Abenaki People.

August 15, 1997 Odanak Letter Regarding Walter Watso and Howard Franklin Knight, Jr.;





I just got this via email attachment from someone. Earlier in this blog's content I have made certain conclusions about what was going on (based on various documents) regarding all these so-called "Chief's" and or self-made "Grand Chiefs" and or their "Diplomatic Ambassador's". Please see my blog post of Monday, July 20, 2009 entitled "Some Newly Found Older Documentations from 1996-1998" regarding this.
NOW, what makes this two page document quite revealing is this shows Odanak SINCE 1977, DID NOT empower Walter Watso in ANY position of authority or representation of that Abenaki Community thereafter. SO, in FATCUAL DOCUMENTATION from the LEGITIMATE AUTHORITATIVE REPRESENTIVE of Odanak, meaning Gilles O'bomsawin CLEARLY states in this letter to Howard Franklin Knight Jr. of Newport, Vermont that Walter Watso was misrepresenting himself as an "empowered" active "Chief" of Odanak AFTER 1977 to not only Homer St. Francis but also to Nancy Millette-Cruger-Lyons-Doucet, and to Howard Franklin Knight Jr. himself while down in the United States!
In conclusion, Walter Watso, yes, may have indeed BEEN (in the past-tense) prior to 1977 WAS a Chief of Odanak, Quebec, Canada BUT NOT THEREAFTER. So what does that mean to anything he signed or the like thereafter?! He took that Odanak Stamp "Seal" (stamp) of Approval, brought it down south of the Border, and began making so-called "Diplomatic Ambassadors" and the like, left right and sideways, and obviously from this letter of August 15th, 1997 Odanak was declaring that Walter Watso held NO Official Office within that Abenaki community after 1977. Seems obviously documentarily that Fraud, Manipulation, Deceit, Deception, and the whole nine yards was going on.
Now, go back through time and who was Jeanne Lincoln-Kent, and Nancy (Millette) Doucet propping up in their emails, postings, and blogs? The answer is Walter Watso, Homer St. Francis Sr., Howard Franklin Knight Jr. Daryl Larocque, and so on. All of them standing on falsehoods and FALSE POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY. Walter Watso was a good decent person, I knew him, But he had no power, and no position of authority to represent Odanak after 1977 into the 1990's. He sought power, and to fulfill his ego. He couldn't get that from his own home community of Odanak, so he came south of the Line (into the U.S.A., in particular Vermont and New Hampshire as the documentation shows). Thats my thinking about all of these historical records anyway. IF I am wrong in my conclusions then prove me wrong with documentation that contradicts my opinions and suppositions. Here nor there, this document speaks for itself.
Another thought about this letter, WHY wasn't this document "shared" with anyone else within these alleged Abenaki "groups" at the time of August 15th, 1997 and thereafter, by Howard Franklin Knight Jr.? The answer is obvious. Look at who empowered him and all the other names from that August 20, 1994 Unity Meeting in Evansville, Vermont? These folks were slapping each other on the backsides, smiling like beavers like beavers eattin' sh** out of a comb, thinking that they were going to get Recognition from the State of Vermont, and then they marched across the Kwenitegw (Connecticut River) into New Hampshire with Walter Watso, right along with them. Again, the Attorney General's Office's and the Governor's Office's of each State NEEDS to do a thorough investigation of these alleged so-called legitimate "groups" activities. Are these alleged Abenaki "groups" really representing the Abenaki, or are they false, imposter's against the REAL genealogically legitimate Abenaki People?! The States of VT and NH NEED to demand the genealogies of these people before these alleged Abenaki "groups" in Vermont or N.H. and BEFORE these alleged Abenaki Groups gain State Recognition through the Legislature's of Vermont or N.H. So, look at this letter, do the homework within this blog, do the math, do the homework, add it all up. But WHY was Howard Franklin Knight Jr. "hiding" this document from the PUBLIC of Vermont/ N.H./MA/CT/ME/N.Y./ and Quebec, Canada? Because, the answer is that this very document shows and provides the evidence that the man late Walter Watso had no position of authority after 1977 nor was he a representive of any political authority of Odanak to do anything within the United States with any of these people in the States! These people built all of these alleged Abenaki so-called "Tribes" and or "Bands" on illusions and distortions, manipulations, and deceit. Howard Franklin Knight Jr. propped himself up on the signatures of Walter Watso, etc, unbeknownst to the late Gilles O'bomsawin to my thinking. I find these documents fascinating, keep 'em coming.
I want this blog to SHOW and PROVIDE the actual REAL Historical History of these so-called Abenaki Groups of Vermont and New Hampshire.
FOLLOW THE LINES: 1. Walter Watso empowered Homer St. Francis Sr. on January 10, 1977 (See The Original Vermonters, Native Inhabitants, Past and Present by William A. Haviland and Marjory W. Power Page 257~Photograph, and Appendix B, C in the back of the book).
Was that particular document from Odanak and Wolinak (Becancour) Abenaki Band Council Resolution of January 05-08-10th, 1977 RATIFIED by ALL of the Band Council, or was/is it yet another possible distortion and illusion created by the late alleged Grand Chiefs of the Abenaki Walter Watso and Homer St. Francis Sr. & Co., in order to b.s. the State of Vermont and New Hampshire?
Walter Watso empowered Darryl Richard Larocque, and Nancy Lee (nee: Millette) Cruger-Lyons-Doucet, and her 1st cousin Richard Ray Hunt, and many many others. Which was based all on the implied ~FALSE ~ b.s. because Walter Watso was not holding any position of authority as an Odanak Abenaki member (after 1977). Homer St. Francis Sr. empowered Alan Martell to create the Abenaki Nation of N.H. (which in the course of events also empowered Charles Francis True Jr. and Nancy Millette's other cousin Rhonda Lou nee: Besaw who now represent that organization here in N.H. that is a Trade Name "doing business as") , and also Nancy Millette there in Bethlehem, N.H. with her "First Nation(s) of N.H.". Grab ahold of a life-jacket because the crap flows downward. Look at the origins of these "Groups" who were signing what, when and where, and how all these so called "Abenaki" groups came to be all over Vermont and New Hampshire. I will be posting the documents rest assured on this blog. The Nulhegan Group came out of Clan of the Hawk, and this other group up in Newport, Vermont calling themselves the "Algonquin Wabanaki Sovereign Nation" which has popped up via the late alleged "Hereditary Chief" Sly Fox a.k.a. David Andrew Hill and his wife Princess Sheila Hill a.k.a. "Running Water" apparently as well came out of that Clan of the Hawk group that was created by Howard Franklin Knight Jr. a.k.a. "Grandfather Circle" etc. The whole mess appears to be operating like some wannabe Indian Herpes Virus and it seems to have spread far and wide across N'dakinna indeed! We all need to be vaccinated before it is too late.

When I recieved the "forwarded" email from this person only identifying themselves as an "Anonymous Sender" they'd sent it to me stating that it was from Olidahozi, Jeanne Lincoln-Kent's Yahoo Group that she moderates, controls, censors members ability to bring up discussions she does not like or feels are inappropriate for HER Yahoo Group, and thirdly, even without any discussion or warning, she just removes the member from being a member, end of discussion. Even about Abenaki Recognition Issue's.
So I can only come away from these previous days, and conclude that maybe it might perhaps have been HER who has been the "Anonymous Sender" whose been sending me these attachments from HER own Olidahozi site and also HER Morningstar Studio website.....in order to do "whatever".....Well, whoever it was that has been sending these attached documents to me apparently knows her, and doesn't like Jeanne Lincoln-Kent anymore than I do these days. I haven't been on her Morningstar Studio's for a very long time. Of course, I was kicked off of Olidahozi back in around February 2008, which since then I haven't missed at all. Yet folks find sometimes the need to "forward" me what is said on there in regards to my blog here, or about me.
I find the "situation" that has cropped up since posting Almira (Rines) Ingerson-Pollock and Flora Eunice Ingerson-Hunt's PUBLIC RECORDS/ Birth~ Marriage~and Death Document information.... to be quite informative to the readers of this blog. Within 24 hours after I begin to address the reality of these distortions and manipulations by these persons, immediately Jeanne Kent got an email from Nancy Doucet, which Jeanne Kent then forwarded to the "followers" of this blog, etc. Why? Because I blocked her and Nancy Millette-Doucet (and Nancy's new husband) from sending emails to me. They are afraid (and paranoid) of the TRUTHFUL Documentation coming out, for the Public to Review and Study. So that the PUBLIC and the Legislature of Vermont might be able to make a more informed and aware conclusion about these "groups" and their followers/members "alleged Abenaki genealogical connections" both historically and contemporarily speaking.
Reviewing Jeanne Kent's blog entitled Morningstar Studio.... yet another question.... I found needing answering...."How come Jeanne Kent claims to be Abenaki of the Bear Clan through the Watso/Capino family of Odanak and signers of the Robertson's Lease in Swanton, Franklin County, Vermont?

In conclusion to her statement "that she is Abenaki of the Bear Clan through the Watso/Capino family of Odanak, Quebec, Canada".... a question begs to be asked and answered by both Odanak's Tribal Officials and by Jeanne Kent herself...... WHY isn't she recognized up there officially then? Is her genealogical records as to her claims clear and convincingly connected to the Watso and Capino families from up in Odanak, Quebec (a definitively historically documented Abenaki Community) Do they even know her family?, do they even know her? I do hope to get an actual answer from either or both soon by email or by regular mail.

And if Jeanne Lincoln-Kent is allegedly from one of those Abenakis who signed the Robertson's Lease, then why isn't her ancestral connections and herself, a part of the Bureau of Indian Affair's Recognition Petition materials that were evaluated by the B.I.A.? hmmmmmm. Something to thing about........

Ralph Skinner Swett and The Clan of The Hawk, Inc. etc:



















1st document: Ralph Skinner Swett's Birth Record from Barton, Orleans County, Vermont. It indicates that his ethnicity is "white". This birth record is a matter of Public Record and as a Public Figure, proclaiming that he is "Indian" implied by his published name of Chief Spirit Water" a.k.a. "Chief Lone Cloud", while he might be Indian, his birth record claims he is "white".
IF Ralph Skinner Swett is of Abenaki or Native American descent, I haven't dicovered the ancestor(s) that were. Perhaps some people would conclude that this birth record is "personal" and "private" but again, this is not the case, or I would not have been able to obtain a photocopy from the State of Vermont Vital Records last year. I began to do the genealogical background research documentarily beginning in November 2005 after these various "groups" representatives/leaders and their followers decided NOT to show and provide these very documents to the State of Vermont nor to the VCNAA. A little genealogical background is that Ralph had a brother Leon Edwin Swett born in 1924 and whom died in 1946. Leon Ellsworth Swett Sr. was born February 26, 1886 in Bolton, Brome Co., Quebec, Canada to Henry J. Sweat and Edna Alberta (nee: Wedge) and Leon died July 19, 1949. Leon Sweat/Swett Sr. married June 02, 1923 to Elsie Skinner who was born April 22, 1895 and died October 28, 1988 in Newport, Orleans County, Vermont. Her father was Edwin C. Skinner born in 1868 son of Daniel Skinner in Vermont about 1833 allegedly in Brownington, Vermont, and Daniel married to Louise N. Walker in Canada. Sibling to Edwin C. Skinner was a sister Mary L. Skinner. There is some confusion in that Elsie E. Swett was a Skinner to Edwin C. Skinner and his wife Zaidee or Raidee E. Ranney born in New York (maiden name unk.) OR was Leon Ellsworth Sweat's wife was an Elsie E. "Smith" born in England that made an entry into the U.S.A. via Lewiston, NY in 1915. Perhaps Leon Ellsworth Sweat/Swett married twice?
IF anyone has the ability to show and provide documented Abenaki ancestry in Ralph Swett's ancestry, please communicate. IF anyone ignorantly concludes that "genealogical research" is "personal" or "private" then all one needs to do is go to http://www.familysearch.org/ or http://www.ancestry.com/ or http://www.rootsweb.com/ as they are all quite informative.
2nd document: Email communication from Rhonda Lou Besaw whom married to Charles Francis True Jr. to Douglas Lloyd Buchholz (myself) in mid-August 2008 regarding Ralph Skinner Swett's "group" up there in Evansville, Vermont. According to the email, (3) three different Groups came together under the Northeast Wind Council to forever be joined in unity. The three Chiefs who met togehter represented three different bands and signed a pact.
The Northeast Wind Council was set up and organized many years ago with the help of alleged Grand Chief Walter Watso, Great Grand Ambassador of the Abenaki Nation Darryl Larock (Larocque) , retired Chief Howard (Franklin) Knight (Jr.), and Chief Spirit Water (Ralph Skinner Swett himself). To my thinking this MUST have been the Unity Meeting in the late summer of 1994 which I spoke of earlier in this blog. August 20, 1994 wherein the Unity of Councils Agreement signed in Evansville, VT. This agreement was signed by the tribal leaders of Abenaki bands at that time bringing them into Unity as the Sovereign Republic of the Abenaki Nation. Homer St. Francis was named Grand Chief and Walter Watso Assoc. Grand Chief. The Unity Agreement was signed by: Ray Lussier - Grand Council of the Allied Bands of Southern New England, Roland Demers - Sherbrooke Aboriginal Community Council, Pierre Heroux Richards - Sorel Aboriginal Community Council, Ray Milano - Athens Council, Richard Ray Hunt - White Bison Abenaki Council of New Hampshire, ???? - Empire State Council of NY, Howard F Knight - Northeast Woodlands Coos/Cowasuck of North America, Walter Watso - Odanak

3rd document: Email dated August 16, 2008 from Ralph Skinner Swett a.k.a. "Chief" Lone Cloud (formerly "Chief" Spirit Water") to myself (Douglas Lloyd Buchholz a.k.a. "Salmon") wherein Ralph states, Our group was started by Howard Knight, when Howard Franklin Knight Jr. and Cindy Shover broke up. Walter Watso was there as was Darryl Larocque. All was done in a very respectful manner and very legal. What Ralph Swett meant in this email by his usage of "very legal" was that that "group" calling itself the Northeast Wind Council of the Sovereign Abenaki Nations/ Clan of the Hawk was and is yet another 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization. IT IS NOT A HISTORICAL TRIBE OR BAND OF ABENAKI PEOPLE. We had their full backing (support) and help in doing so.

News outside the Clan: As many of you know, Nancy Lyons has been working on a "Unity" Group and I have helped any way I could. However, as the clan has supported Debbie Bezio and applauds her for all the work she has done on the Abenaki Recognition Bill, I told Nancy that we would not be supporting Jeff Benay for the Governor's Commission on Native American Affairs. As soon as I told Nancy these facts and that we would support Debbie Bezio, Nancy removed the Clan of the Hawk, and your Chief from this group! So, here again, I am labeled as a "bad person.' I have many reasons why I chose not to support Jeff Benay, but feel it is not appropriate to air them publicly at this time.
In the spring of 2005 Chief Raymond "Ray" "Looking Glass" Lussier of the Southern New England Indian Council in Attleboro, Massachusetts made a long term gifting loan of over 1800 artifacts to the Abenaki Clan of the Hawk, in Evansville, Vermont. This collection, which Lussier started when he was just nine years old and worked on throughout his entire life, consists of arrowheads, axes, spears, stones and other artifacts. The collection is in museum display cases and is fully catalogued.
In the spring of 2006, Chief Raymond "Looking Glass" Lussier again honored the Clan of the Hawk with another incredible gifting loan. He sent all of the books in his Native American research library to be cared for in a new library at the clan. This will be named the Ray Lussier Wabanaki Family History Center and Reading Room. Dedication ceremonies will be held at this year’s 15th Annual Pow Wow, Saturday, August 5th, at the Pow Wow grounds in Evansville, VT and is expected to be one of the high points of the celebration.
This wonderful collection includes 8 volumes of the Dictionnaire Genealogiques Des Familles Canadiennes, Purreville-Odanak, Napierville, Comte’ de Missiquoi, Richelieu, Drumonville, and many, many more. The birth and marriage records from all the reservations in Canada, going back into the 1600’s are in this research collection. Raymond "Looking Glass" Lussier in a council resolution at SNEIC, said, “Whereas, The Clan of the Hawk of Evansville Vermont under direction of my blood brother Chief Ralph Swett has distinguished itself by carrying on many Abenaki traditions, visiting schools and teaching the younger generation, hosting Pow Wows, Gatherings etc., making available a Museum of Abenaki as well as other tribal histories and involving itself in Community outreach programs. Be it hereby Resolved: In the name of Abenaki Unity, I Hereby entrust to The Clan of the Hawk my Books, Repertoires and other pertinent Documents for the introduction of the Wabanaki Family Resource Library and Reading Room in Evansville Vermont.” The rules pertaining to the access to and use of these materials are to be found later in this newsletter. Copies of them may also be had by requesting them from Chief Spirit Water. The primary responsibility of the Clan of the Hawk Library is the care and preservation of this Historical Collection of Documents and Books. Therefore these rules will be enforced. Policies and procedures for requesting duplication of this Collections materials are available. Requests will be evaluated on a case by case basis. In making such decisions, primary consideration must and will be given to the preservation of the materials. Reference services will be available by appointment only. Dear Senators: I am writing this to add just a little more information to my previous testimony. I thank you for the job that you are doing, I know this is not an easy decision. I do believe that to pass this and allow two supposed historical bands the say in the fate of all other Abenaki people is a serious mistake. I ask that people please do the research of the history. Any band could have claimed these historical names, but that does not make them so. Sokoki bands were from southern VT, not Swanton area. I am not saying they are not native, or anything against them. I do know that the criterion that is being set is truly impossible to meet.
Who is going to check Nancy Millette and April St .Francis lineage? If they could not meet the regulations for Federal Recognition then how do you expect any of the others? But the amendment they are trying to push would allow them in, and then decide the fate of the same bands that they don't acknowledge now. Check their petition, and please do not once again allow yet another form of genocide. I believe that in having to prove ourselves in this way is just another form of genocide. I pray the day shall come that my people can hold their heads high, be proud of whom they are and that all will get along. This is as it should be; this is the teaching of my ancestors. As for Nancy Millette's band, they too are going by a historical name, but the band has only been organized since state recognition. Just because the smaller bands are not as old or in the news, makes them no less Abenaki.. I speak for the Clan of the Hawk, as a tribal council member. We ask you to check our records; we have been organized for 20 years.
4th document: Cindy Shover (a.k.a. Loon Caller)'s Business Card. Notice the circular image on the left on the Card. Remember that when you see the Incorporation papers of Howard Franklin Knight Jr. dated May 31, 2007 when they attempted to "steal back" the Incorporation "Abenaki Nation of Vermont, Inc. The Native American & Abenaki Affairs", with the help of Burton Decarr a.k.a. "Spotted Eagle" of Swanton, Vermont. Burton Decarr had signed a document "against" Paul Wilson Pouliot on January 30, 2007 with the help of gaurdianship, April St. Francis-Merrill herself. Because when one looks at the notarized document of January 30, 2007 it states, "At Swanton, on the this 30th day of January, 2007, before me personally appeared Burton Decarr and known by me to be the person who executed the foregoing instrument, and she thereupon duly acknowledged to me that she executed the same to be her free act and deed. Well, last time I seen Mr. Burton Decarr he appeared to be physically a male/adult man, NOT a "she" or a "female". So you do the math.....
Cindy Shover was allied to Howard Franklin Knight Jr. The circular image on this Card, and the documents dated May 31, 2007 are the same image.
5th document: Document attachment that came in an email to Douglas Lloyd Buchholz on August 15, 2008. Again it is about the Clan of the Hawk, and this so-called "Northeast Wind Council of the Sovereign Abenaki Nations". Wow, now we don't just have an alleged "Abenaki Nation of Vermont" but now we have allegedly Sovereign Abenaki Nations. Totally amazing. Is this like a epidemic or a virus spreading across Vermont, etc?! I think the Mohawk's better watch out, it might be worse than the common cold or swine flu.
6th document: Newspaper article regarding the Clan of the Hawk 17th Annual Intertribal Pow-wow dated August 2nd and 3rd, 2008. You don't have to be Abenaki, or even Indian/Native American to join this "group". Nancy Millette might fit in perfectly with them. Buckskin, leather, psychic booths, wannabe's, runnamucks, the whole nine yards. Again, one needs to evaluate and know what is REALLY ABENAKI and what isn't.
7th document: Another newspaper article out of the Caledonia Record dated October 07, 2009 Page B10. "Perhaps then the State of Vermont and the rest of our great country might follow us and do their part." Yeah, well when it was time for all these "groups" to do their part and cough up the PROOF/ EVIDENCE of being legitimately Abenaki People, all the State of Vermont (and the BIA) got was crap and silence from the whole bunch of these alleged Abenaki "groups"! So, talking about "heritage" falls flat on itself. Perhaps these "groups" and their so-called Chief's such as "Spirit Water/Lone Cloud" (Ralph Skinner Swett) andhis side kick creator/inventor "Rushing Water/Grandfather Circle" (Howard Franklin Knight Jr. are nothing more than illusions, distortions, charlatans, and decievers of the Vermont Public and Legislature in claiming they are the Real legitimate Abenaki descendants they claim to be. I have yet to see genealogical evidence clear and convincingly that either of them descend from the Abenaki People. I don't think anyone else has either. If I am in error in stating this, then provide me the documented evidence to prove my conclusions to be incorrect!

9th document: Aaaaah, here is a photograph that was sent to me via email attachment, of Jeanne Lincoln-Kent of Winsted, CT on July 05, 2005 while she was at the Clan of the Hawk Pow-wow in Evansville, Orleans County, Vermont. Perhaps she had a Membership Card with Ralph Swett as well, that she no longer carries, like she did with that Metis Nation of Quebec, and Paul Wilson Pouliot's "group"? Well, at least Jeanne Lincoln-Kent's regalia isn't that commercially-tanned hide buckskin.

Phyllis Donovon Letter To The Editor August 22, 2009:


I found this Letter to the Editor most interesting and thought I would post it and comment on its content. First, I do agree that Clan of the Hawk in Evansville, Vermont is a blantant mockery of Native American Culture in general and more specifically Abenaki Culture. I do agree that Clan of the Hawk is a loose group of people, who have NOT PROVEN genealogically that they connect historically to any documented Abenaki people................ Phyllis Donovon goes on to say, "Nor are these followers related by blood to each other as are all other legitimate Native bands and clans."
Now, that last sentence I have to comment on. NO, these other alleged Native bands and clans HAVE NOT as yet either proven to anyone that they are genealogically connected to any Abenaki historical family or historical communities. So, this Letter to the Editor by Phyllis Donovon of Wheelock, Vermont seems to me , to be pointing the finger at Ralph Skinner Swett (not that agree with his historical or contemporary goings-on either) it appears that three fingers belonging to Phyllis Donovon are pointing back at whatever as yet unnamed "groups" she proclaims to be "other allegedly legitimate Native bands and clans". In my next post, I'll show a bit of documentation on Clan of the Hawk, Inc. so that readers of this blog can get a little bit more understanding....based on FACTUAL DOCUMENTATION.

1st document: Envelope of Penelope Newcomb's letter to me, Douglas Lloyd Buchholz dated September 25, 2009.
2nd document (2 pages front and back): First page of letter by Penelope Newcomb. "Dear Douglas, Hello again~Enclosed are several articles from The Chronicle (newspaper) ~one by Paul LeFebvre about the gifting of stock with which to purchase Seven Springs from me to the Abenakis as recieved by Wobanaki, the 501(c)3 organizatioin that I believe Homer St. Francis and the Swnaton group created. That may not be who or how it started. Then the (letter to the editor) letter by me to the Chronicle after Paul's article came out. And antoher letter I wrote at some other time. Penelope Newcomb was nice and kind enough to share these articles with me regarding the Brunswick Springs a.k.a. N'biz8bek. Now I share these articles and Penelop Newcomb's kind letter to me with folks out there that didn't realize her kind contribution, or to those that might not have realized her generosity. I previously talked about Brinswick Springs on this blog but had yet to obtain these newspaper articles. In the winter of 1994-5 I stayed with Edward "Ed" Verge, with my Walker hound dog (no, if yer thinking....she didn't go around killin' chickens....and neither did I). Edward Verge was a pretty decent fella himself up in Island Pond, Vermont. Now at the time of that particular winter, he told me he'd gone to Doris Minckler's place there in Swanton, Vermont and she'd appointed him caretaker of Brunswick Springs. He was pretty upset about Tree-Hawk a.k.a. Joseph Pelletier being on that property, staying there with his pregnant wife. Ed wanted to be there instead. Had all kinds of plans he did. I think it was an ego thing perhaps. Either way, by the time Spring thaw came around, I ran into Daisy Goodman, and Tree-Hawk's mother Carlene Pelletier whom encouraged me to "jump the river" and
come live over in New Hampshire. They wanted me to join their created group, which was also a 501(c)3 but Tom O'bomsawin an Abenaki seemed to have some good idea's, at least for awhile. I tlaked previously about that "Group" I was a part of previously in this blog.


October 12, 2009 Your Horoscope on Christopher Columbus Day:


On Columbus Day Monday October 12th, 2009 I found this in the local newspaper, which I thought was kind of profound considering. Jeanne Lincoln-Kent was saying "go plant some flowers in some city", in essence suggesting that I ought to go do something more constructive than address the alleged Abenaki mess out there in Vermont and elsewhere (like here in New Hampshire too since this is where Nancy Millette-Cruger-Lyons-Doucet got her Gov.'s Proclamations repeatedly etc etc).
I won't be willing to stop what the purpose of this blog is nor will I stop for anything or anyone until it is accomplished. I know I am right in my conclusions because I have the genealogical records, these "groups" newsletters, etc etc all the way back to the early 1990's to the present. Jeanne Lincoln-Kent and Nancy Millette-Doucet would like for me to play a different game. But this isn't a game to me or for me. This is serious. I did not want to have to resort to creating and building a blog about all this mess they themselves created but they left me no choice. I asked April St. Francis-Merrill and Carollee Reynolds both on that particular Sunday in May 2009 during that Pow-wow event up there in Swanton, Vermont "offereing for them to sit down and let's talk, get some understanding between us all", but no, they had their arrogant better than thou noses stuck up in the air, and their mouths just'a flappin' away claiming that "it would be a waste of their time to talk to the likes of me". I was saying they didn't exist. Well, I didn't say it first. The Bureau of Indian Affairs said it flat out and loudly. That's when I began to wonder if that were really the conclusion and why & how the B.I.A. came to this conclusion after 38 years.
So I like this Horoscope. I usually don't look at such things in the newspaper but this particular Columbus Day, this one caught my attention.
