CPAIN or Corporate (entities) Posing As Abenaki Indigenous Nations in VT/NH - Part 1

 

July 19, 1973

The Franklin County, Vermont newspaper (Page 08) wrote an article entitled “Abenaqui Indians Settle in Swanton ca. 1650,” wherein this article it is mentioned specifically the "St. Francis Indians"... i.e. and so a year later Swanton, VT-based Homer Walter ST. FRANCIS ("I-must-be-Abenaki” “because my surname is St. Francis") It really was that SIMPLE of an equation f how the race shifting began in Vermont.

June-July 1974 -

Yet ‘out-of-the-blue’ this newly formed organization calling itself the “Union of Vermont-New Hampshire Indians”, which had just formed in 1974, didn’t see why Hannah Dustin should have been honored for killing Native Americans.

Notice that the “Union of VT-NH Indians, Inc.’d” seemed to mimic the “Union of Aroostook Indians, Inc.’d” organization in Houlton, Maine, interestingly enough. CETA funding was coming through the Boston Indian Council, by way of their agent, Ronald Canns, son Julius Canns.

The newly formed organization wanted the statue removed, and they wanted the four-acre island returned to Indian control. Self-Identifying-Indians stated they are “highly disturbed” over the presence of the monument.

Henry Smith of Concord and Ronald Canns of Suncook, two members of the “Union of Vermont-New Hampshire Indians”, called on fellow Indians to call tribal councils to register complaints about the statue, and to work for restoration of the island to Indians.

1974 -

Returning to the events happening in New Hampshire in 1974, the Nashua Telegraph newspaper wrote that a census of persons who self-identified as being of American or Canadian Indian descent was being taken by the “Union of Vermont-New Hampshire Indians of Penacook, N.H.” under the auspices of CETA (Comprehensive Employment and Training Act).

Julius Canns' son Ronald/Ronnie Canns had come up to the area in the beginning to mid of 1975 opening up a St. Albans, VT-based Manpower Office with CETA Comprehensive Employment Training Act Funding through the Boston Indian Council in Boston, MA; and Ronnie Canns created a self-identifier census/survey he'd sent out to possible persons of whom believed they were of 'Native persona'; Just like he had down in Concord, NH the year previous. By June of 1975, the collected members of a group began appearing in the local newspapers.

Group No.1

Homer's group the "St. Francis Band" started explicitly in June-July of 1975. NOT BEFORE THIS MONTH and YEAR. NOT 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974.

This group was initially led by Wayne J. Hoague, but he was disgruntled about embezzlement and fraud from the very beginning by Homer himself and that the group had no monetary accountability for the grant(s) coming into the group; and was summarily ousted by Homer and his allies, and was replaced by Homer St. Francis Sr. himself.

October 29, 1976 – November 02, 1976

The Swanton, VT-based group created a grant/monetary receivership org (incorporation) under VT State Secretary’s Office called the Abenaki Self-Help Association Inc.’d (ASHAI) N-00020-0. This was signed by Homer St. Francis Sr. and Wayne J. Hoague.

To receive any and all land and real estate donated, given or decreed by a Vermont Probate Court. At the time of this amendment in mid-May 1978 the ASHAI Vice President was James H. Ledoux; the Secretary being Patsy [nee: Partlow] St. Francis (Homer’s wife)

CPAIN or Corporate (entities) Posing As Indigenous Nations Part 1 and the Indian Arts and Crafts / Kenneth Van Way Communications

 CPAIN (corporations posing as Indigenous nations) have been stealing from Legitimate ABENAKI tribal communities for decades! Ignoring the kind pleas of Odanak & Wôlinak  tribal citizens for CPAIN to stop stealing their family history and stories. Well now community is organizing, had enough and is pushing back. How quick these CPAIN groups are in VT/NH etc to play the victims, Victims of the system, victims of history (as French-Canadian descendants and/or Slavery descendant victims in VT/NH), of legitimate natives who don’t accept them, they have created this victim persona all around. CPAIN stop Playing Abenaki Indian!

Daniel Strong Walker Thomas of Lynn, MA came up with the acronym "CPAIN" which is quite the reality, here in VT/NH, the same as Darryl Leroux came up with the term "Race Shifting"...  

When in early to mid May of 2009 I began constructing and inputting data and documents (and my frustrations etc) into this blog, I did not conceive of the descriptive words "race shifter" or "CPAIN". In my ISOLATED little world of evaluating and transcribing A LOT of documents that I have, and or received since May of 2009, the only concepts I had concluded for what was happening here in VT/NH was two words: Wannabiiak and Fraud.

Much as Professor Darryl Leroux became aware, I too had been aware of the Cherokee "pseudo" "tribes" and "Inc.'d Entities" and read Circe Sturm' two excellent books "Becoming Indian: The Struggle over Cherokee Identity in the Twenty-first Century" and "Blood Politics: Race, Culture, and Identity in the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma" as well as reading an excellent research, Twila Barnes blog:  http://www.pollysgranddaughter.com etc. 

Seeing and hearing Dr. Gaudry & Dr. Leroux: White Settler Revisionism & Making Métis Everywhere: The Evocation of Métissage in Québec & Nova Scotia I was gobsmacked! Darryl Leroux and Adam Gaudry were VOCALIZING and DEFINING what I was attempting to map out here in the Northeast. Take a listen to the presentation, if you haven't as yet. It's quite informative.






"These organizations vary in structure, sophistication, stated purpose, and funding, yet all mask their theft within a robe of cultural preservation and unproven indigenous lineage. If a ‘pretendian' is an individual who falsely claims indigenous lineage, than CPAIN is what happens when a group of them decide to form a corporation, usually a non-profit, and pass it off to the public as a tribe." 

"Indigenous people come in all shades and complexions; it is impossible to determine who is truly Native based on appearance. This is not an initiative to further the color divide within Indian country. There is simply a process to become an enrolled tribal member, if someone doesn't meet the criteria for enrollment, then what would give them authority to create their own ‘tribe?'" asks Chief Daniel StrongWalker Thomas. "This is an initiative to preserve our identity and protect our homelands. We are also hoping to protect our well-meaning allies from falling victim as they often donate their land, time, energy and funds to these CPAIN frauds."

Which is what Vermonters and residents of New Hampshire are doing: They are donating lands to these Wannabiiak frauds in these 'CPAIN' organizations in VT/NH !!!!

And the Indian Arts and Crafts Act does not protect Indigenous Peoples Identity, especially not the Abenakis here in the Northeast, when they helped these race shifters and their legislative allies ... with their State of Vermont post-2006.


Former elected Odanak Chief and Odanak resident, Walter Watso, of Odanak had traveled down to New Hampshire and had (with the non-returned/ stolen Seal of Odanak embossing tool) created "Abenaki" Artisan Certificates that were issued during the Twin Mountain, NH Powwow Gathering she'd called "Sagakwa" July 10-11, 1999 orchestrated and promoted by the former Littleton Town Promoter, Nancy Lee (nee: Millette) Cruger.



So a "Laurentian Iroquois" wannabii turned "Abenaki" wannabii in 1996 wanted to join up with Six Nations? Sure PP keep dreaming... Sure Paul, put that on your bucket list, under your 26-year old  Letter of Intent. Just because PP assumed he was "Laurentian Iroquois" now he assumes he can just waltz right over and join into the Six Nation? Strange, I didn't see this "petition" of attempting joining the Six Nations per his Aln8bak Newsletters to his "800" minions of card holding members





Here, per the above document, on December 31, 2002, Paul W. Pouliot, had been "singing" praises and thank you's to Lynn Menard-Mathieson and her husband David, for their time, effort, and resources, during the year 2002.

Paul Wilson Pouliot, of the Cowasuck Band of the Pennacook-Abenaki People/ Cowass North America, Inc.'d group eventually was in the "business" of issuing signed, sealed, and delivered "Certificate of Recognition" Artisan Certificates. 

Jeanne Antoinette (nee: Lalime) Lincoln - Kent of Winstead, CT (now a Orleans County, Vermont-based Nulhegan group member) had received one of these certificates from Pouliot when she was a member of his group! She allegedly returned it to the group when she got upset with the group and left it, June 01, 2002;  only to resign her membership in a Metis Quebec-based entity led by one Claude Aubin on October 12, 2002; and then  try by October 14, 2002 and use another race shifter, Bruce Louis Dubois, to try and gain membership at Odanak. 

Bruce L. Dubois (and his mother Helen had been a member of the Mazipskwik, Inc.'d, the Odanak Abenaki Families of Vermont group led by Richard "Skip" Bernier; Bruce as well was pretending in his belief only, that he was an Obomsawin descendant of Odanak, an Abenaki Community in Quebec, Canada.

This particular artisan 'certificate' had been issued to Lynn Menard-Matthieson of Griswold, CT in June 2004, now a former member of Pouliot' "Band"...


Notice that I had in fact received this Aln8bak Newsletter DIRECTLY from Paul Wilson Pouliot postmarked August 08, 2009, because Paul Pouliot and Denise, were "sniffing around" trying to "get a grasp" on where I was getting documentation from about their group, in their drive for non-transparency. At this point, they weren't ready to implement their agenda, to get rid of David Mathieson and his wife, Lynn just-yet. Paul Pouliot had no issue, or concern, in mentioned MY NAME nor the name of MY BLOG or its URL. And he had no issue in sending me his Newsletters either at that time.


Patrick Côté of the Musée des Abénaquis at Odanak, Québec, Canada, along with Nicole Obomsawin were quite "thick" with the WHITE RACE SHIFTING-into-"Abenaki", Frederick Matthew Wiseman PhD, of Swanton, VT. 


Paul Wilson Pouliot: "For years the Aln8bak News has been expressing editorial comments these have challenged the legitimacy of the numerous  self-declared Abenaki leaders, groups, and organizations. Our editorials may have stirred interest in these matters outside of our Band. What was needed was an investigation into the origins and motives of those people and groups. Our concerns were that they have been attempting to claim their positions using questionable efforts and activities to create the illusion that they are the legitimate Abenaki Nation.
The following internet BLOG spot was setup and is being updated by Douglas Lloyd Buchholz on a regular basis using a wide variety of news articles, public information, and documents to expose those individuals, events, and organizations that seem to be attempting to reinvent an "Abenaki Nation" for their own purposes:



Paul Wilson Pouliot: "In an effort to suppress Buchholz, the creator of the BLOG, legal actions were taken to stop him. Nancy Lee (nee: Millette) Wiggins - Cruger - Lyons - Doucet, the self-declared chief of the Koasek charged him with "stalking" on July 06, 2009 at 2:30 PM regarding Nancy Lee (nee: Millette) Doucet, for the Court matter Nancy Doucet v. Douglas Buchholz Case Number 443-2009-CV-00015, at the New Hampshire Grafton County Family and Probate Court in North Haverill for hearing.


Note: This is a CPAIN name change to KOASEK and once Nancy had again moved, this time from Vermont to New Hampshire. 

[But, hey Paul W. Pouliot and Denise (nee: Beauregard) Mehigan relocating from Franklin, MA to Forestdale, MA and up to Alton, New Hampshire, isn't the "Pot Calling the Kettle Black"??]

The presiding judge heard the case and dismissed her charges after a lengthy legal educational lesson that put her on notice that there never was any stalking and that Douglas Buchholz was well within his legal rights. The judge explained that the freedom of speech and freedom of the press apply to what Buchholz was doing. The use of public records, news articles, and other official records are available for public use, no matter how offensive they may be to those that are seeing their names on the BLOG.
As the judge stated, charges of slander (oral offense) or libel (written offense) also do not apply to any of his editorial content unless the comments or documents are fraudulent in nature. The legal statues that apply to these types of charges are different than "stalking."
As this BLOG progresses we expect that some people within the Abenaki community that have assumed leadership positions or have become public figures will prefer that their past activities and family histories not be made public. It will be interesting to see how this BLOG documents our Band and its leadership, past and present."

It was OK to investigate the merits of the late Nancy Millette' nonsense and BS oral history about Flora Eunice (nee: Ingerson) blah blah blah, but when the lens turned onto other "leaders" of these CPAIN groups, Oh My Gosh, they didn't like that! The "heat" burned and the "chief's" "agents" did scurry and whine about 'little old my person' and this BLOG. 


Secondly, Paul Pouliot had in fact ATTEND that Court Hearing in Haverhill, N.H. and had agreed to share with my person a FULL COMPLETE SET of his Aln8bak Newsletters. I never received such from him or Denise, (regardless I got a set from my friend Lynn of Griswold, CT. So of course, I became suspicious of the group's merits and claims. 

I, in 2009, began to ASK QUESTIONS of Lynn Menard-Mathieson and her husband about the group led by Paul Wilson Pouliot and Linda (nee: White) ... whom he LEFT in February 2006 and him going to Forestdale, MA to be with Denise (nee: Beauregard) Mehigan, after she had separated from her husband, Jamie Mehigan. It was NOT a "secret" what was "going on between Paul & Denise", at the time in early 2006, or thereafter. 

Both Lynn and her husband David Mathieson smelled the 'CPAIN' "Abenaki" BS, and resigned from the group on September 17, 2009 because was not being fully 100% transparent with her, regarding many dynamics of the group. and neither she nor her husband ever sought to interact or rejoin with any of the so-called "Abenaki" CPAIN groups in VT or NH thereafter.

As one can SEE and REVIEW, Lynn Menard Mathieson, resigned from Pouliot' group, AND all of the other state incorporate entities in other states aside from Vermont.


I didn't get the Pouliot issued Aln8bak Newsletters in the mail anymore by September 2009. Because I was deemed a "Hate Blogger" by all these CPAIN "Abenaki" Wannabiiak groups. 

They were all trying to figure out where their "leaks" were coming from and scrambling to shut down this blog. I kept posting as I could (and I will keep posting as my time allows to do so). Suffice it to say that (even though Paul and Denise chose, contrary to their words, to provide me with a complete set of their Newsletters for evaluation) kindly, Lynn Menard-Mathieson and her husband, David, did in FACT, share with me, a FULL set of the Newspapers for the CPAIN group they had been a part of. Along with very interesting and enlightening documents pertaining to who was soliciting membership into the Howard F. Knight Jr. - Paul W. Pouliot groups, including membership lists from 1992 onward into 2003.

Lynn Menard-Mathieson did in fact, resign from the "Cowasuck-Pennacook-Abenaki Nation/ Cowass North America, Inc.'d", when he/they had been planning to throw Lynn & David Mathieson out "for not arriving the night before" in regards to the event, Castle in the Clouds event in Moultonborough, NH and her asking for financial transparency from Paul & Denise (Beauregard) Pouliot.
Obviously, I began posting a bit back then between July 06, 2009 and the following October, regarding Paul Wilson Pouliot's group of Wannabiiak Race Shifting member Cowasuck group etc. I had received documents from multiple persons (which I will explain a bit more documentarily later in this blog post)


So with an 'Ax-to-Grind' against Lynn Menard-Mathieson, subsequently in his IGNORANCE and HOSTILITY and SELF-IMPORTANCE ... Paul Wilson Pouliot decided to WHINE about my BLOG.

Abenaki Community Under Attack
For the last several months, the Abenaki community has been under attack by the malicious efforts of an individual [I raise my hand, that he's obviously referring to my person] that is filled with negativity against many of our leaders, groups, and People. This person is using an internet "blog" [what, no all CAPS this time eh Paul Pouliot? Shucks I been downgraded to small case letters in quotation marks.] site to post internal tribal correspondence, personal emails, genealogical information, newspaper articles, tribal membership records, court records, governmental records, and a wide variety of other documentation. [Apparently PP wants some Crackers with that WHINE eh] 
This person [Douglas Lloyd Buchholz ...my person] has been working with other disgruntled people that have been submitting some of these documents. It appears that every Abenaki group has at least one member that has contributed to this effort. Likewise, many unsuspecting people have been duped or otherwise misled to provide this person with information that is being used in a negative way. We will not identify the "blog" site or any of the people involved because they seem to enjoy the personal notoriety and controversy that is being created. [Paul Wilson Pouliot ALREADY identified the blog and my name ... scroll up and read the Editorial in his previous Aln8bak Newsletter, if you missed it]

NEGATIVITY SOUNDS LIKE HATE 
TO THOSE WHO HATE TRANSPARENCY  

They claim and believe that the documents are "public records" available for public distribution, review, and ridicule because most tribal groups are associated with a non-profit organization. 
This is not a valid legal argument for documents that were unlawfully obtained or that are personal or tribal property. [Horse Pucky Pouliot Nonsense] The laws that pertain to non-profit organizations are very specific about organizational records and financial disclosures. Except for required IRS and State Reports, what is being posted is unlawful.
It must be clearly understood, tribal records are not non-profit records. Specifically, Band member records are not non-profit organizational records. Non-profit records are only related to the organization's officers and board of directors. [Lynn Menard-Mathieson was IN FACT an Officer of Cowass North America, Inc.'d and a member of the group, as well as on the Board of Directors of Pouliot' group for years]. Tribal band records are never available for public inspection as public records and that includes all genealogical and membership documents. [Nonsense]
With each posting this person is making libelous and negative comments and opinions relevant to the subject matter of the documents. In most cases the comments are not rational statements and you can not make the same conclusion from the facts presented. Even more insidious is the fact that some of the documents are being ALLEGEDLY modified, "cut-and-pasted" or amended by adding or deleting words to distort the facts. [more Pouliot Nonsense]
The personal comments being posted misstate and misrepresent the facts and expound an agenda of contempt towards Abenaki community groups, leaders, and tribal members. As the "blog" is being updated it has become more and more twisted as this delusional person attempts to make the case that all Abenaki are part of a great "collusion" conspiracy. [Oh, I surmise based on what people are telling me, that I am MAKING THE CASE, that ALL the so-called "Abenaki" CPAIN groups in VT/NH are filled to the brim with members ... that have race shifted ... for benefits ... and taking space and platform, from legitimate Abenaki People in both states et al DOCUMENTATION  ... historically, genealogically and socially ... especially in Academia etc. Just LOOK AT all the grants Pouliot' have received!]
It is apparent that the intent and purpose of the "blog" is to discredit all U.S.-based Abenaki groups, to create discord, in-fighting within the community. So far all that this ranting "blog" has proven, is that the person is very "disturbed" and filled with cynicism

Paul Wilson Pouliot (et al) have TRIED over the years since 2009 to assume what the INTENT of this blog has been, and is; PP's blah-blah-blah attempt at explaining what drove me (and continues to drive me to continue posting on this blog) is just more 'nonsense' and 'noise' from a CPAIN "chief" ... that came out of NOTHING (Howard F. Knight Jr., a, egotistical mouthy RACE SHIFTING 'cancer' on N'dakinna) in his LUST for POWER-EGO-CONTROL, and that's the truth of the matter; Paul Pouliot became a member of Howard's group in June of 1992 (or July) "as a self-identifying "Laurentian Iroquois" (NOT AN ABENAKI) and got a membership card from Howard Knight Jr.; and became 'chief" because Howard Knight Jr. was a race shifting con-artist and a FAKE ABENAK. Howard and his members had been playing around with Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA), out in California with Paul Wilson Pouliot, regarding Sherrie DeVee and Terri Scotten, and the F.B.I. soon realized that Howard (et al) were CPAIN group members in VT, truthfully said and confirmed historically-genealogically and socially. 


In particular, our Band has been repeatedly attacked using a wide variety of tribal and personal documents that are being unlawfully or unauthorized to be used and distributed. [P.P. , the "BIG" "BAD" Wolf ... huffing puffing and blowing more 'hot air']
Some records appear to be relevant to those records from the 1990's that were stolen from our headquarters ["Red Hawk Lodge," personal home of Paul and Linda Pouliot, 160 Dailey Drive, in Franklin, MA 02038] in 2005. [No, P.P., twisting the reality and truth AGAIN. It was February of 2006 that Paul Pouliot abandoned his wife, Linda, and absconded down to Forestdale, MA to be "with" Denise (nee: Beauregard) Mehigan ... NOT 2005, and the DOCUMENTS he had left in his FORMER place of residence, because Linda TOLD him explicitly that if he left to go down there to be with Denise, he wasn't ever to come across the threshold of HER home of Linda (White) Pouliot located at 160 Daily Drive, in Franklin, MA! And so NO records were "stolen" as he said to the F.B.I. and other agencies.] 
The use of these records is considered to be a criminal act, one of an "accessory after the fact" of the ALLEGED theft.
Unfortunately, some documents are also being made public, by one of our past genealogists [Lynn Menard-Mathieson]. In May of 2009, a Grand Council meeting was held and that genealogist was specifically requested to return all genealogical records that were in their possession. Boxes of records were returned but apparently some original records and some digital copies were not. 
Later this person began a campaign of discontent within our Band and started working with the "blog" creator, and she and her husband eventually resigned. We consider the use of our documents and the conduct of this former Band member to be unlawful and unethical. [No, P.P. et al who were/are part and parcel of these "Abenaki" CPAIN groups are what ought to be unlawful; and these race shifters are who are unethical and non-transparent and untruthful]
In summary, our Band is not alone with this type of problem. It appears that every Abenaki group has someone that is willing or unwittingly contributed to this negativity.
We are also hopeful that this negativity will "enlighten" our community and its leaders of race shifters Playing "Abenaki" to finally see that it may be more important for all of us to work together in a cooperative way. Yes, circle them wagons and 'protect' whatever, from a BLOG full of your CPAIN documents Paul Wilson Pouliot. Where's the Lone Ranger and Iron Eyes Cody to save the Cowass from annihilation and least we forget ... "lateral violence".

Paul René Tamburro email communicated with the late Bruce Louis Dubois, mentioned that: "Paul Tamburro had been removed from Paul Pouliot' group as a member and as a Corporate Officer of Cowass North America, Inc.'d as of April 20, 2002. [much like Lynn Menard-Mathieson 7 yrs later!]. Apparently, Pouliot had not removed Tamburro' mother, aunt and other relatives membership in Pouliot' group because they were still sending them Pouliot' checks for the newsletters at $15-25 USD a year. 

[Paul R. Tamburro had joined up with the Mazipskwik up in Swanton, VT as well until it went defunct and kaput ... but now he is a member of the Nulhegan Cowasuk-Abenaki group led by then-Luke Willard and now led by Don Stevens Jr. ... Paul René Tamburro LOVED to Group "hop & shop" wherever he felt like the 'grass was greener' and where he could get the most benefit and legitimacy ... more bang for his dollar and membership card(s) like a lot of "Abenaki" did and done]

Actually I did not even know I was still on their [P.P.] membership rolls. But now I guess it would not be treason to give you all the Cowass information [documents] that I have, so if you really want it, I would be happy to give you copies of all that. I talked to my wife Andrea and Bob about this, and we all agree that if the Descendants of Odanak organization could use it to do something about the rising egos of Massachusetts. Then maybe that would be a good use for all that paper." 


This is the actual document that Paul René Tamburro spoke of to Bruce Dubois, wherein Tamburro was removed unceremoniously removed from Pouliot' group.




On November 09, 2001 the Paul W. Pouliot led group, the "Cowasuck Band of the Pennacook-Abenaki People, had sponsored Donna (nee: Carvalho) and her husband, John Scott  Moody to assist and perform repatriation activities for Pouliot's Band of Merry 99% Race shifters and 1% of whatever, and to be their consultants and representatives for the "greater Abenaki Nation on all matters and activities relevant to the Native American Graves Protection Act (NAGPRA).

Now, how is that two people who NO ABENAKI (or Pennacook) Native Ancestry can go around the Northeast preying (and praying) over the bones of those Indigenous people's dug up so disrespectfully and unceremoniously, be chosen by a "Abenaki" CPAIN organization or group that was created in early January 1993? And get away with this ruse, over and over and over and over again, every time a set of bones or "artifacts" is "discovered" in the ancestral lands of the Abenakis of Odanak?!


Oh, that's right Donna (nee: Carvalho) upon divorcing Robert Ernest Charlebois, changed her name to that of Donna ROBERTS, her mother's maiden name, on May 12, 1995 (in the North Haverhill, Grafton County, New Hampshire) and on December 14, 1999 Gilles Obomsawin of Odanak, GAVE her authorization to do repatriation, under the impression (naively) that she might led him to believe (just like Bruce Dubois had done!) that she too, was an Obomsawin Abenaki descendant in Vermont. 

Mind you, that Donna's mother was Roberts, as was her father Wilfred David (or Foster) Roberts, yet Wilfred's paternal FRENCH-CANADIAN ancestors were ROBERT. All the way back to the paternal FRENCH ancestor Louis ROBERT dit Lafontaine (1638-1711) in Ste. Marguerite De La Rochelle, France who married Marie Magdeleine (nee: Bougery) on November 25, 1666 in Trois-Rivières, St. Maurice, Québec, Canada. 

Of course, Joseph Gilles Obomsawin (1934-2007) was NOT a genealogist, and he was naive to the predatory race shifters in the States, usurping and appropriating Abenaki culture FROM ODANAK in their lustful drive in creating an "Abenaki Nation" personas down in VT/NH from 1975 up to 2000-2003. This dynamic, layer after layer, is documented about the race shifters. 

But how I digress ... 

OK so let's do the 1 + 1 = 2:

Bruce Louis Dubois, in the late 1990's into 2000 and 2003, was a "tight" associate and very close friend and ally with Richard "Skip" Bernier of the Newport, VT area. 


One can see that Bruce Louis Dubois, from 1996, and by 2000, had ingratiated himself to Richard Skip Bernier of Newport/Coventry, Orleans County, VT, the latter an Obomsawin mother's son, born and raised in Northeast Vermont by kith and kin. 

Bruce had manipulated his genealogical background, implying that he himself was also an Obomsawin descendant, and through process of having that friendship, with Skip, had proceeded to ingratiate himself to the late Odanak Chief Gilles O'Bomsawin by 2000-2003. Gilles seems to have been naive of Pretendian Dynamics prior to 2001-2003 and certainly did not detect the ruse created by Bruce, about his own ancestral background. Secondly and perhaps even more importantly, Bruce used his association and friendship with Skip Bernier, for his own "legitimacy" as an "Abenaki" throughout Vermont etc. Homer along side Walter Watso = "legitimacy" ... Joseph Bruchac along side Homer = "legitimacy" and there are MANY other examples photographically of how Pretendians pose with or associate with, across social media today, implying "legitimacy"... of themselves, just like Bruce Dubois did in his lifetime.

We know that "Cowasuck of North America, Inc.’d" that had been created in April 1993 which later, had been transferred by Howard F. Knight Jr. to Richard Skip Bernier (at least in Vermont); and in turn the corporate name had been changed on October 19, 2000 ... whereupon then the corporate name had been amended to the name of:

Registered Agent: Richard R. Bernier 
Officers: Richard R. “Skip” Bernier, Bruce L. Dubois (Richard "Skip" Bernier' close friend implying and claiming to be an Obomsawin descendant), along with Stacie Lee Baker (Richard “Skip” Bernier’ daughter); and Tina DelaBruère (another of Richard “Skip” Bernier’ daughter)

So, Bruce had obtained a lot of Cowasuck, Inc.'d documentation that pertained to Howard F. Knight, Jr.'s CPAIN Shenanigans, which obviously encompassed Paul Wilson Pouliot' shenanigans, along with Raymond Paul  "Looking Glass" Lussier' and Phil "Gray Fox" Martin' Shenanigans (et al), directly from Paul  René Tamburro himself. 

These documents that I now possess were never "stolen" from anyone! Because Paul R. Tamburro was documented as a Cowass North America, Inc.'d Corporate Officer as well as Sub-Chief and Band Legal Advisor (Social - Cultural) (West)/Spiritual Advisor for Paul Pouliot's group in Franklin, MA. 

It was never unlawful or unethical for Paul R. Tamburro to have retained and then provided to Bruce L. Dubois such documents, since it was Paul W. Pouliot that threw Tamburro out of the CPAIN group after all, in 2002. Tamburro could have chosen to use the documents as toilet paper, wallpaper, or even to make paper airplanes out of such documents. 

Instead, he mailed the documents to Bruce Dubois, who then provided them to Richard "Skip" Bernier, who then provided those very documents to my person, from May 2009 into 2011.


I do this research for the TRUTH and TRANSPARENCY of it all, for this blog I enjoy working on now and then; but also for the blood, sweat, and tears of my dear friend, Richard Skip Bernier, who TRIED IN VAIN to warn the State of Vermont; yet the VT/NH State Politicians didn't care, because they wanted to POSSESS Vermont lands from all directions, without threat or intimidation from ANY legitimate Abenakis, with objective un-manipulated genealogical records in hand. 

"LOOK AT THEIR GENEALOGIES" is what Dr. Gordon Malcolm Day retrospective had said to John Scott Moody (not make them up as Moody sought to do ... as in, "if one couldn't find the ancestors ancestor then they MUST BE "Abenaki" and get a Homer St. Francis, Howard Knight or Paul Pouliot or other membership card") Pretending to be "Abenaki" has become, since the 1970's quite the profitable dynamic these days for race shifting people (wannabiiak). I followed the late Dr. Gordon Day's advice.What I began to discover was that what appears to be real, wasn't so real after all, regarding what I was led to believe. What these race shifters want people to believe has been in all reality, has been a campaign of appropriation, of fraudulent Abenaki Identity against Odanak since 1974-5, sometimes with the complicity and help from certain naive or willfulness of Odanak persons associated with these CPAIN groups and their members.  


Skip Bernier gave to my person since 2010-2011 MOST all of the documentation pertaining to many CPAIN "Abenaki" organizations in VT/NH and the members ... or soliciting persons who wanted to obtain a membership card from his and other CPAIN organization's. SOME of whose documents are on this blog, like Luke Andrew Willard's application to Skip and Bruce's group, for membership, etc. 

Yet this was not the only 'chain-of-transfer' of "Abenaki" CPAIN documentation (and their members) that have happened either:

"Gray Fox") Martiin of 41 Lancaster Avenue, in West Springfield, Massachusetts 01089 for $16.25 USD a particular packet of information ... pertaining to the 1990's created group "Southern New England Council" (S.N.E.I.C.) and regarding to "chief" Raymond "Looking Glass" Paul Lussier of South Attleboro, MA. 

As well as other documents pertaining to the CPAIN organization's that had been created and promoted by Howard Franklin Knight Jr. of Newport, VT. and his "agents" "Abenaki" "cult" "followers".

Mr. Bill Martineau was not deceived, or deluded or unwittingly manipulated at all by my person, to send along these documents he'd mailed to me. As can be clearly ascertained, it was Lynn (nee: Menard) Mathieson who delightfully encouraged Mr. Martineau to send them along to my person. I was and am quite thankful to the man for his kindness. 
Bill Martineau (resident of Avon, MA at the time) had been a member of Ray "Looking Glass" Lussier' S.N.E.I.C. organization, as a "Sub-Chief" ... and also was a Corporate Officer (Treasurer) on the Corporate documents of the "Wabanaki Cultural Learning Center" created July 12, 1995 in the State of Massachusetts.

As one can SEE and REVIEW, in my 'attempt' to keep chronological order, Bill Martineau had provided me with a bit of these documents at multiple times ... in addition to those documents that had been provided to my person by Bruce Louis Dubois, and Richard Skip Bernier, (occasionally) Lynn Menard Mathieson, along with other miscellaneous  persons (whose names I can't recall at the moment) over the years. 

Adjusting the documents to my own format of research and placing them in chronological perspective in my own 'archive', whose to say which documents specifically came from Lynn Menard-Mathieson in comparative to Skip Bernier, or Mr. Martineau? At this juncture, the documents are HERE in my possession, digitized, cataloged, filed, transcribed, and OUTSOURCED to those interested in my research. That's not unlawful. It's called using the original documentation, if at all possible, and or photocopies, to SOURCE the CPAIN and RACE SHIFTING "Abenaki" groups (for they are NOT "Tribes" "Bands" at all. I mean, c'mon since January 23, 1995 Pouliot and his minions of race shifters applied for the possibility of Federal Bureau of Indian Affairs Recognition. Whoop-dee do day, Big Deal, what, so he could lean on that Intent Letter til the MA-NH-VT cows come in? It's laughable and hysterical, not to mention absurdity.

Pouliot's CPAIN incorporated group has been SITTING on this INTENT to file-for-Federal Recognition by merely sending in a letter from his CPAIN org. since 1995!

Anyone CAN send in an INTENT Letter to the B.I.A.

As such let me remind the CPAIN group "chief" since 1993, because apparently that group doesn't have elections for "chief" in that group, except for his LOYAL subjects, being the "Little Napoleon" he is, that the BIA Federal Acknowledge Dept. says as follows:

Who cannot be acknowledged under this part?
(a) The Department will not acknowledge:

(1) An association, organization, corporation, or entity of any character formed in recent times unless the entity has only changed form by recently incorporating or otherwise formalizing its existing politically autonomous community;

Post-1975 and February of 1993 is RECENT. 

(2) A splinter group, political faction, community, or entity of any character that separates from the main body of a currently federally recognized Indian Tribe, petitioner, or previous petitioner unless the entity can clearly demonstrate it has functioned from May 1, 1936, until the present as a politically autonomous community and meets § 82.11(f), even though some have regarded them as part of or associated in some manner with a federally recognized Indian Tribe;

It is CLEARLY established that Richard Wilfred Phillips et al separated from Homer, creating their own CPAIN groups in the late 1970's and then in a 'struggle of power, egos and control' they three created the "Abenaki Nation of VT, Inc'd." and that out of all that CPAIN sh** of Wannabiiak, Howard Franklin Knight Jr. stepping into the picture, in the early 1980's and by December 1992, gave "platform, space and benefit" to Paul Wilson Pouliot of Franklin, MA, and that he had members of Howard's cluster of fellow race shifters then join/follow Paul Pouliot in early 1993. Whereupon, by April of 1993, Howard Knight Jr. then with alliance of Homer St. Francis et al spawned Ralph Skinner Swett and his Clan of the Hawk group, whereby in August 2004 'begat' by metastasizing the Nulhegan group, by deceit/deception/ and dishonesty. We see this also with the Mazipskwik group in late 1995-early 1996 as well. 

Oh and look, there's Paul René Tamburro' name as a "Sub-Chief" (Social/Cultural) and "Band Judge" (West)(Acting) of the group, per this 3-page document (on Page 3)... until he was no longer 'usable' in 2002. So sad to be DISPOSABLE like that, as one race shifting band-hopping "Abenaki" member of the "Abenaki Nation" in VT/NH. 

You won't see Paul W. Pouliot's name nor Paul René Tamburro mentioning HIS OWN particular membership participation in (and part of) Howard F. Knight's group nor in (and part of) the Cowasuck-Pennacook group for years, on Tamburro' RESUME these days. Now that he's a Nulhegan "Abenaki". Race shifting "Abenaki" in these CPAIN groups are like "Mexican Jumping Beans" ... in that they go from one group to another group to another group, seeing the most benefits, status, to obtain "legitimacy" to claim space, platform "as Abenakis" with a card in their wallets/purses.

Is Paul Wilson Pouliot IMPLYING that these people and others were/are unlawful in providing (of their own free will and volition) these documents to others, in that they had been provided my person, documents (originals and photocopies) that retrospectively had been given to them BY Mr. Pouliot himself, (and or Howard Knight Jr. and or Ray "Looking Glass" Paul Lussier over the years)?
How is that legally actionable and against any laws? Unethical? Hardly so, IMHO. 

Oh but Paul Pouliot is so readily, in October 2009, willing and ready to ACCUSE and IMPLY that I have in my possession HIS allegedly "stolen" corporation / CPAIN records. Laughter on my part



Even January 10, 2010, Paul W. Pouliot' ex-Corporate Agent in WA State, Paul René Tamburro who had been a member of the Cowasuck 'Merry Band of Race Shifters', led by Pouliot, very clearly (shared with Lynn Menard-Mathieson) stated that Tamburro himself had given the documents he had in his possession to Bruce Dubois (as mentioned above in the email) after May 15, 2002! 

AND that Paul Pouliot had left the documents of the group IN his former spouse, [Linda (nee: White) Pouliot] house when he left Franklin, MA for Forestdale, MA. Only later did he retrieve those boxes of documents, yet he accused her of withholding some.

Paul Pouliot doesn't necessarily seek to be 100% percent completely honest and transparent with the public (or his CPAIN card-holding members, about his claim to being a "Cowasuck" "Abenaki" ... because in REALITY and TRUTH, he isn't either Cowasuck nor Abenaki, as his Genealogical Mapping proves. Remember, he joined Howard F. Knight's group as a "Laurentian Iroquois" and yet his cousin Richard "Rick" Pouliot" self-identified as a "Megantiquois Abenaki"

MANY Wannabiiak Playing "Abenaki" bouncing around hopping and shopping for the best FAKE "Abenaki" "tribe" they can associate with to keep that $$$$$ gravy train going ... and strengthen their Abenaki Identity Theft Processes as Race Shifters.

Now, in mentioning the CPAIN Wannabiiak Nulhegan group led by Luke Andrew Willard (and subsequently by Don Stevens in September 2010, I made an observation. Not only did they create themselves out of the CPAIN group Clan of the Hawk in the summer of 2004, by theft, deceit, etc (as stated by the late Ralph Skinner Swett per that groups website) but, if one looks at Paul Pouliot's BY-Laws and Constitution, it would APPEAR almost VERBATIM that the Nulhegan group TOOK the Pouliot Constitution for their own! (Of course, Pouliot after trash talking Lynn Menard-Mathieson) "Little Napoleon" himself changed the Constitution of the group. He LOVES to throw people out of his Cowasuck-Pennacook 'fiefdom'

Citing the Aln8bak Newsletter 96-2 April to June 1996 on Page 2, Paul W. Pouliot stated (quote) "The tribal membership rolls of the Cowasuck Band span a considerable number of years and unfortunately, as a result of time, some records and files are incomplete or inadequate. Many names will be removed from the rolls because the members address information is out-of-date; we do not know who they are; they may be in another band; or they may have passed on.
We also know that many people are carrying multiple different tribal cards from more than one Abenaki group. This is becoming more and more of a problem now that there at least 8 people declaring themselves to be "Cowasuck chiefs" and 3 other groups claiming to be "Cowasuck bands."
Our membership policy does not permit this practice of "playing on all teams". A few honest people have requested to be removed from our membership rolls so that they could join another group."

VCNAA Chairman Mark W. Mitchell was in alliance and worked closely with Jesse James Larocque, in association with Homer St. Francis Sr. and the St. Francis-Sokoki group in NW Vermont. While on the VCNAA, I am of a certain strong suspicion that it was Mark W. Mitchell, that reported to the IACB, Jesse James Larocque, in order to "push" an interaction between Vermont "Abenaki" groups, the State of Vermont politicians and the IACB itself. Thus Jesse could become a "martyr" or "focus" point, just like when Jesse James Larocque had been accosted by the judicial officers ca. May 1991, regarding the "Abenaki" Homer St. Francis-created auto license plates matter. These race shifters have to PLAY the victimized "Abenakis" 24/7. And if they can't they CREATED situations where they could become the "victims" of their causes. I am not 'victim-blaming' but I know these folks weren't Abenaki anymore than Bernie Sanders is an "Abenaki" in Vermont.

"Committee hearing next week on Native recognition amendment" 
MONTPELIER: Draft legislation to amend Vermont's Abenaki recognition law will get its first Statehouse vetting before the Senate Economic Development Committee next week.
Senator Vince Illuzzi (R-Essex-Orleans Counties, Richford, Montgomery), a strong champion of the original recognition law and Chairman of the Senate committee, will hold the first hearing on the amendment Friday, Feb. 15, 2008 at 9 a.m. in Room 27 of the Statehouse.
The amendment, to be introduced as a committee bill, seeks to close a gap which federal officials have said leaves Vermont's Abenaki artists vulnerable to violations of federal law. It lays out procedures and criteria for tribes and bands seeking State recognition. Such recognition would legally allow members to sell their arts and crafts as Native-made under federal law, something they cannot do now.
A handful of Abenaki, including Mark W. Mitchell, Chairman of the Vermont Commission on Native American Affairs (VCNAA); Missisquoi Abenaki Nation Chief April St. Francis-Merrill; and Johnson State Humanities Chair, filmmaker, and historian Frederick M. Wiseman, will testify.
Mark W. Mitchell said this week that the original Vermont State bill S.117, signed in May 2006, was a "crucial first step" to recognize Abenaki and other Native Americans in Vermont. More needs to be done to ensure the original intent of the law is protected, though.
"The survival of the Abenaki Nation in particular depends on truth, clarity and authority from its advocates," said Mark W. Mitchell.
Senator Vincent Illuzzi's version of the amendment retains much of the original language proposed by the VCNAA at the end of November, creating an application process and spelling out detailed criteria for determining State tribal recognition.
Unlike the VCNAA' proposal, however, Vincent Illuzzi' amendment does not give the Commission authority to make such determinations on its own. Instead the current proposal would have the VCNAA oversee tribal applications and determine whether they meet the criteria, before making a recommendation to the general assembly.
Because of the question of VCNAA authority, Mark W. Mitchell said some have asked if he and the commission are essentially seeking power.
"My response is only that the Commission wants a process," said Mark W. Mitchell.
The federal Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990 - a truth in advertising law meant to protect Native artists in the marketplace - requires artists have membership, or non-member status, in a formally recognized Native group before labeling their work as Native- or American Indian-made.
The State Legislature already has the authority to grant the required tribal recognition, but there is no clear application process or criteria.
Lawmakers "would need to either exercise that right or vest this Commission (with it), for an Indian to be protected," Mark W. Mitchell said.
Some - including some lawmakers who backed S.117 - believed the original law was meant to give this authority to the VCNAA.
The current State laws reads in part: "The commission shall have the authority to assist Native American tribal councils, organizations, and individuals to ... permit the creation, display, and sale of Native American arts and crafts and legally label them ... as provided in (federal Native arts labeling law)."

In response to the State of Vermont's consideration of potential alternatives related to State Indian tribe recognition issues, the Indian Arts and Crafts Board (IACB), U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI), has been asked to submit a written statement regarding the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990 (federal Act), Public Law 101-644 (104 Stat. 4663-b4), as amended.
Specifically, the terms Indian and Indian tribe are defined by Public Law 101-644, which provides:
"As used in this section:
(1) The term `Indian' means any individual who is a member of an Indian tribe; or for the purposes of this section is certified as an Indian artisan by an Indian tribe; `Indian' is any individual who is a member of an Indian tribe;
(3) The term `Indian tribe' means:
(A) Any Indian tribe, band, nation, Alaska Native village, or other organized group or community which is recognized as eligible for the special programs and services provided by the United States to Indian because of their status as Indians; or
(B) Any Indian group that has been formally recognized as an Indian tribe by a State legislature or by a State commission or similar organization legislatively vested with State tribal recognition authority."
See (25 U.S.C. § 305e (d) (1) and (3); 18 U.S.C. § 1159(c) (1) and (3).}
In brief, if the producer of an art or craft product meets the above definition of Indian (an enrolled member of a federally or officially State recognized Indian tribe), that individual would be permitted to legally offer for sale, or sell, his or her product as Indian, Native American, or the product of a particular Indian tribe. If the individual does not meet the above definition of Indian, marketing products in such a manner would constitute a violation of the federal Act.
The IACB has participated in discussions regarding the federal Act as it relates to Vermont State law S.117, "An Act Relating to State Recognition for Abenaki People" with representatives from the Vermont State Attorney General's Office, Vermont Governor's Office, and the Vermont Commission on Native American Affairs. In these discussions, concerns were raised that Vermont State S.117 may intend to permit all self-identifying individuals who claim to be Abenaki or Native American to sell their art or craft work as Indian made, which is in conflict with the definition of Indian under the federal Act. 
In addition, to meet the definition of Indian under the federal Act, an individual must be a member of a federally or officially State recognized tribe or be certified as an Indian artisan by a federally or officially State recognized tribe. "Recognition" of a group as a tribe for very limited specified purposes of benefiting from the Act falls short of recognition as a sovereign Indian tribe. The proposed amendment to S. 117 answers many of our concerns about the State's recognition process but it remains to be seen whether specific Abenaki "tribes" are recognized consistent with the federal Act.

So what they did was indeed appoint a "chief" of a self-identifying group of members to recognize each other as "Abenaki" who then sought to (and did) 'stack' the VCNAA with their own self-identifying members they mutually recognized "as Abenaki", called Odanak "ex-patriots" and told Odanak descendants living in Vermont, to (pardon the expression) Shut Up, and proceeded to denigrate them on the internet and in social media groups etc and manipulated the scholarly data (which was indeed constructed, compiled and given to the 4 petitioning groups by none other than race shifting "Abenaki" Dr. Frederick M. Wiseman PhD of Johnson State College)

As you will see upon visiting our web site at http://www.iacb.doi.gov/act.html, the Act is essentially a truth-in-marketing law designed to prevent the marketing of art and craft products as "Indian" made when they are not, in fact, made by Indians as defined by the Act.
Under the Act, it is illegal to offer or display for sale, or sell, any art or craft product in a manner that falsely suggests it is Indian produced, an Indian product, or the product of a particular Indian Tribe. According to the implementing regulations, unqualified use of
the terms "Indian," "Native American," or the names of particular Indian Tribes in connection with the sale or display for sale of an Indian art or craft product will be interpreted to mean that the maker is a member of a federally or officially State recognized Indian Tribe, a member of the Tribe named, or is certified by an Indian Tribe as a non-member artisan; 25 C.F.R. §309.3. Therefore, for such work to be sold as Indian, Native American, or as the product of a particular Indian Tribe, it must be produced by an enrolled member of a federally or officially State recognized Tribe, or by an individual who has been formally certified as a non-member Indian artisan by the federally or officially State recognized Tribe of their descent.
While the IACB has been in communication with the State of Vermont regarding the State recognition of Indian Tribes, and understands that the State of Vermont may be recognizing some groups as Tribes in the near future, you should refrain from selling your work as Indian, Native American, or as the product of a particular Indian Tribe until your group is officially recognized as an Indian Tribe by the State of Vermont or the federal government.

In regards to your telephone call yesterday, outlining federal penalty for basket donations to museums and manufacture of Native American crafts is erroneous and in conflict with the Vermont State law and the Vermont Abenaki Native American Commission, given their amendment bills defining Abenaki ethnic heritage pending in the Vermont State Legislature with the desire to work with Federal Statutes in conjunction with existing Vermont State law.
As a U.S. citizen, Vermonter, and Mazipskwik Abenaki I ask your federal Department of Native Arts and Crafts, B.I.A., U.S. Interior Department to cease and desist in the internal affairs of the Vermont State Legislature and the Vermont State Abenaki Native American Commission.
Perhaps your intentions are ethical and in a perceived higher intention, but the federal involvement in the internal affairs of State Government cannot be construed from here, as anything short of being political and illegal. Please let the mechanisms of democratic State Government work.
Having lived in Vermont with a family history of many generations, I cannot at this time comply with your request to give names of Abenaki persons who create Native Arts and Crafts. Do you realize what you are doing to the Abenaki community and relations of community in Vermont?
Please advise the Vermont Attorney General’s Office, Honorable William Griffin and Honorable William Sorrell, that their office is welcomed to work with the Vermont State Abenaki Native American Commission to ensure the legal integrity of all needs concerned.

I had wanted to obtain an answer from the Indian Arts & Craft Act Board (IACB), whether or not the previous "of ... Abenaki descent" option still applied, now that a Nulhegan-Coosuk "Old Philips Band" group of race shifters had metastasized out of the Clan of the Hawk, Inc.'d in August 2004, pretending to be "Abenakis" in the State of Vermont (or New Hampshire) had conspired with the IACB and a State Legislature, the Attorney General's Office and the Governor's Office ... in order to gain their ill-begotten fraudulent State Recognition, in order to "protect" FAKE "Abenakis" from IACB investigation and or legal prosecution for selling their wares as "Abenaki" or "Abenaki Made". Kenneth Van Wey was kind enough to respond by formal letter to my person twice, once in 2011 and subsequently in 2014. 

Conclusion: The Indians Arts and Crafts Board (IACB) has been (IMHO) ill-equipped to deal with the dynamic of race shifting and CPAIN groups; and has (retrospectively) actually helped race shifting French-Canadian descendant residents of/ in Vermont and New Hampshire (or where ever members of Vermont state recognized "tribes reside throughout the USA or the Planet Mars) "pull the teeth" and "claws" out of the Indian Arts and Crafts Law of 1990. 

IACB had in fact guided the VT Legislature and these race shifter groups of "Abenakis" to circumvent the intent of the Indian Arts & Crafts Act !! 

Even one is not even a member of the 4 "recognized" groups in Vermont, these CPAIN groups now state recognized, can issue a letter of approval to a person who self-identifies, who is in their favor, and that self-identifying "Abenaki" wannabiiak would be protected from prosecution from the IACB, who has No Objectively Documented Abenaki Ancestry whatsoever. 

In the next blog post, I am going to SHOW how many "Abenaki" groups and their CPAIN org's there have been, up to present ... how they manifested, how they interacted, associated with one another, and sometimes went defunct or changed, and/or metastasized, like a race shifting cancer across the Northeast; especially in Vermont, where by 1890 over one third (1/3rd) of the state's residents were first - or second - generation French-Canadians.
