Dear Howard,

Please be reminded that during both the unity meeting of May 7, 1994 in Vermont and August 20, 1994 in Evansville, Vt. All Abenaki members and Councils in attendence agreed to use one Tribal card issued by Missisquoi, Swanton Vt. and the Constitution and By-Laws of Missisquoi.

This was also agreed to at the unity meeting in Littleton NH. July 17, 1994. NO other Tribal cards are valid per our SOLEMN AGREEMENT.

Any reference to any AUTHORIZATION by me without an accompanying letter signed by Grand Chief Homer St. Francis is not valid.

I trust that this letter will clear up any false statements by ANYONE.

We are aware of your attempt to set up a Band "Abenaki"Corporation of alleged and reinvented Native Americans in Abenaki Territory, per your newspaper advertisement.

You are instructed that any new Bands/Councils "Abenaki" Corporations/ Incorporations inside Abenaki Territory VT/NH/MA/CT must be approved by the Grand Chief Homer St. Francis Sr. and all recognized Councils "Abenaki" Corporations now in unity.

As for using Chief in your correspondence it is illegal as there are no chiefs in the Abenaki Territory existing councils only head spokesman. No one from Abenaki Territory appointed you Chief.

Please take this letter seriously as any further problems will be dealt with accordingly.

WHEREAS, That as of Dec. 22, 1194 [1994] your cards are no longer valid; and that you have never signed any membership papers; when we made you and your family honorary members of the Cowasuck of North America of the Sovereign Republic of the Abenaki Nation International. Your ex-wife and children might have Indian in them; but you do not have any Indian in your line! and that you, Mr. Swett, were never made chief of anything at all by our Grand Council at the time of the 1993 [sic]....[1994] August 20-22 Pow-Wow; but you promised to sign papers, (but not as a chief for membership), and
WHEREAS, That Mr. Ralph Swett, owner of the Evensville [sic] Trading Post in Evansville, Vremont [sic] and other associated with him in the So-called Evansville Council of the Cowasuck Abenaki has come toghther [sic] to form an unauthorized council that was not, and it is not, approved by the Grand Chief, Homer W. St. Francis, nor by the Abenaki Nation International, (see attached paper) that was hand delivered to Mr. Swett by Amb. [Ambassador] Darrell Larocque and Chief Spokesman for the Cowasuck of North America Inc. Howard F. Knight Jr. (#3) paper, and
WHEREAS, Ralph Swett and his associates in this venture have illegally and with malicious intent, are trying to use the Cowasuck of North America Council of the Abenaki Nation name's which can only be uesed [sic] by this Council, with in the Ancient Cowasuck Territory, per the order of the Grand Chief, who has recognized this council, and only this Cowasuck Council, as the authorized Cowasuck Council; (see paper attached #2), and
WHEREAS, The Cowasuck of North America is a Vermont Corporation, Incorporated under the Laws of the State of Vermont and is a Non-Profit Corporation, recognized by the IRS under 501-C3 and which is wholly recognized entity of the Sovereign Republic of the Abenaki Nation International.
BE IT RESOLVED, We will take the necessary action, to protect our Council, and Incorporation as whole, and as separate entitites together in Unity in the Soveriegn Republic of the Abenaki Nation International.

Now if people reading this blog, actually "followed" along using the LINKS provided, people would understand and attempt to figure out that Luke Andrew Willard (right along with Donald Warren Stevens Jr.) claim that their INCORPORATION is an authentic Vermont Abenaki Tribe. FAR FROM IT. Also, (and I would sincerely like EVERY VERMONT POLITICIAN to PAY ATTENTION to the following) I just recently received an email DIRECTLY from Ralph Skinner Swett's relative, whose done a wee bit of genealogical research on the family, and ran across this blog's content and commentary. He states that Ralph is no more Native American, let alone an Abenaki ... any more than he is! There is NO NATIVE AMERICAN ANCESTRY in Ralph Swett according to this relative of Ralph Swett's.... AT ALL. So what does this say about the following image?

If Ralph Skinner Swett of Orleans County, Vermont (a.k.a. "Chief Rushing Water" and also a.k.a. "Chief Lone Cloud") IS NOT AN ABENAKI or even has Native American Ancestry, then what was he doing in late July or early August of 1998 making Senator Vincent Illuzzi an HONORARY CHIEF, assuming the name "Fighting Wolf" at the Evansville, Orleans County, Vermont Pow-Wow?

EVANSVILLE, Vt. - Several hundred visitors from both sides of the border met on the tribal reservation [huh?] of the Abenaki [?] Clan of the Hawk for the 19th annual two-day Intertribal/International Powwow in Evansville last weekend. The get together featured traditional dancing, food and crafts.

On the tribal grounds were traditional teepees and wigwams, as well as more practical and conventional tents for creature-comfort laden travelers. There was a grand entry into a Abenaki spiritual circle for some dancing to three drum groups with many of the participants dressed in tribal regalia.

"It is not too late to get smudged before the Grand Entry ceremony," Chief Lone Cloud [Ralph Skinner Swett] of the Clan of the Hawk Inc. said on a loud speaker as assorted groups of Native Americans and Canada's First Nation dressed in traditional regalia were getting ready for the opening ceremony.

The Grand Entry highlighted the day's activities at the powwow on the Clan of the Hawk grounds on Route 58 in Evansville.

Native American flute player/story teller John Loper was the guest entertainer. Also featured were the First Light Drum, woman's drum group, Seven Arrows Spirit Drum from Bristol, N.H., and the First Nation Bear Clan Drum group from Troy, Vt. The emcee was Randy Smith from Irasburg.

A familiar face at the powwow was Grandfather Phil Thibault, 85, of Swanton, who has been coming to the annual powwow in Evansville for 17 years. Grandfather Phil awared Clan of the Hawk Chief Long Cloud with a ceremonial three-sisters Peace Bundle of corn, beans, squash and spices.

The Clan of the Hawk is a very active group of Native Americans that belong to the Northeast Wind Council of the Abenaki Nation of Vermont. A few years ago, the Clan of the Hawk formed a craft cooperative to promote Native heritage and give its members and friends a chance to learn some of the old crafts that had almost been forgotten. This program continues on a year round basis.

NOTICE that up "in the right upper portion of this particular page", that Walter Watso (of Odanak, Qc) was referred to as "Associate Grand Chief". It would seem that these "Abenaki" Corporations here in New England, were simply dangling a "TITLE" like a "carrot" to intice the late "Chief" Walter Watso down out of Odanak to sign this concocted Resolution-Agreement of Unity, simply so he could gratify his own inflated EGO, and sense of POWER. Perhaps the Indian Headdress began at some point in 1976-77 to restrict the blood flow? It does make one wonder, why he assumed that uniting Abenaki Corporations that were created "under state law" would unite these people who claimed to be Abenakis and of Abenaki Tribes, based on dubious Abenaki historical, genealogical and social connection(s)?

Here one can see  the indication of inclusion of Becancour (Wolinak) and Odanak (St. Francis Mission Abenaki) with this endeavor yet, neither the Band Council's of either Abenaki Community geographically located in the Province of Quebec, Canada were actually associated with the signing of this Resolution-Agreement, aside from the single Abenaki of Odanak member (whom had no active political standing in that Abenaki Community, then in Aug. 1994 or in the future), Walter Watso.

On this particular page document, one can see that quite a number of "witnesses" who profess to "repesent" alleged and reinvented Vermont, New Hampshire, or even Massachusetts "Abenaki" "Communities" (all of which, historically BEFORE their Corporation's status "under their perspective state laws", were all "hiding in plain sight"). Of interest is the LACK OF SIGNING, even though their names are placed on this document. Such as Robert Thomas  of the "Winooski Band", "Chubby" Wayne J. Hoague of the "Green Moutain Band" and Thomas Obomsawin of the "St. Francis Band" (whom had been very supportive of "Chief" Homer Walter St. Francis Sr. since the late 1980's.

Upon reviewing the Cora May (nee: Knight) Webre letter dated October 13, 1994 ... it would appear that SOLICITATION of more "Councils" (which were actually corporate creations of dubious alleged and reinvented "Abenakis") was the "name of the game" going on. The more "Councils" (Corporate Entities "under perspective state laws") that were created under "Grand Chief" Homer St. Francis Sr. of Swanton, Vermont ... the more supposed political power he and his own "St. Francis/Sokoki" Corporated group assumed to have gained. Kinda reminds one of an infestation of bed bugs actually or of the process of infection a virus would do, between species. Heck, if Paul Wilson Pouliot could create Cowasuck Abenaki Corporation's in California, Oregon, Washington state, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Connecticut, so too could Howard Knight Jr. and Homer St. Francis Sr.! I guess you could call it the Reinvention of the Alleged Abenaki Nation under the United States of America, Inc.

Abenaki Unification Accord 3 Page Document; August 17, 1994 Resolution-Agreement Between Incorporation President's/Chief's:

Abenaki Unification Accord

We the United Bands of the Abenaki People here within sign our names to this accord to bring about a document of unity before the governing authorities that now control our ancestral lands, which was once called by them "red man's land". We being the descendants of the proud original Abenaki people sign our names in agreement to the words spoken in the unification accord:

No one group or band will appoint a Grand chief to represent the entire Abenaki people; in place of aforesaid position all groups or bands will send a delegation to the council meetings, to represent each group or band, no less than two delegates shall come to the council meetings, no one person shall represent their group or band before the council. Each group or band can send as many delegates as they wish, but only four from each group or band shall speak before the council in debate on any subject confronting said delegation.

Each group or band shall have four votes, and no more than four, when a decision has to be made. When all votes are presented, then the subjects of the council shall make a temporary vote either to pass or reject said proposal. When this vote is accomplished by the council, all decisions made by the council will not become law until the delegation returns to their groups or bands to have the people give their final word on the vote.

Once the people have heard and given their voice on the proposal their delegation once again comes before the council with the peoples decision and place it before the rest of the delegation in attendance, the consensus of the delegates present must be made to carry out said proposal. No decision shall be made by one person or small delegation but by the consensus of the entire delegation, they shall decide on the fate of the next 7 generations, by passing or rejecting the proposal presented to them, in this manner the whole population of the Abenaki people shall have a say in governmental matters.

This accord shall unite the Abenaki people into one national entity which will carry out its decision, even though some of these decisions will be in opposition of the coexisting governments that now occupy our ancestral territories.

The most we can offer our people at this time through the Unification Accord is a United Abenaki people with the beginnings of a re-established governing body which was driven underground by those now in power.

We hereby affix our signatures to this accord in agreement to work as a United body to bring forth the traditional laws/taboos of our people and to do this without the interference of the coexisting Federal and State governments. We with this accord promised to send delegates to the Peoples Council to participate in the drawing up of a constitution of the United Bands of the Abenaki people. We know in the past our people did not need paper for such agreements but in today's society we must put it down on paper to make sure no one will misinterpret our words and goals set out in this accord.

Within this accord we give our word both verbally and on paper to work on the concerns of our people in a united effort to bring forth a centralized governing body which will be a true for of individualized democracy.

We the undersigned, understand there are many who feel they represent the people, as chiefs. We do not deny this as being a factual statement, but all we state in this accord is they do not represent the entire Abenaki people. We invite these individuals to come and sign their names to this accord being the representatives of their people, for with their strength and ours we can become a stronger entity to deal with.

With this accord we also recognize the existence of the governmental entities which now rule in coexistence with our own. We respect their laws and will obey said laws until they conflict with our own which were given to us by our creators. With this signing we take notice of their political existence with the aspect they in turn do the same to our form of governing. We will not deliberately break their laws which do not conflict with those of our creators. We will follow their standards while we are in their jurisdiction, as we expect them to do the same in ours. This form of mutual recognition is what we offer to the Provincial, State, and Federal governing bodies, with full understanding, if we break any of their laws which do not contradict the laws of the creators, then we will expect the punishment which comes with such action and be tried in their courts of law. We in turn will do the same with those of their citizens who break our laws on Abenaki land. We the undersigned agree to this coexistence with the foreign governments which are no in our ancestral lands.

The United Bands of the Abenaki People who will be signing the accord will make our government as strong and knowledgeable of the creators laws/taboos. With this in mind our government will be four parts. In one, the Peoples council shall sit as executive, legislative, judicial, and spiritual, all for of these aspects will be carried out as one embodiment to govern our people, which will bring forth a constitution which will benefit all our people and which will unite our people under one law, laws which they the people will help decide on and who will willfully follow the laws  which we bring forth with this accord will be directed by the creators.

We the undersigned, being representatives of our different groups or bands bring about this accord to unite our people as a United Abenaki People. With our signatures we respect the identity of each and every group or band which signs this accord all others who do not sign will not be denied acknowledgment, but they will not be allowed to sit on the peoples council without first accepting this accord with their signatures.

NOTE: The creator/writer of this particular 3-Page "Abenaki Unification Accord, has yet to be ascertained. Apparently, whomever it was that typed this up, forget to mention or acknowledge that these "Abenaki" groups or bands, had already created corporations "under state laws", therefore, contrary to the delusion that these "Abenaki" groups or bands were separate from the Federal and or State Governmental entities which now rule in coexistence "with our own" and that these groups or bands of alleged and reinvented "Abenakis" will respect their laws....again, someone is simply fooling their one operative brain cell left functioning, if they simply cannot realize that these supposed "Abenaki" groups or bands are "sovereign" since their incorporating under Federal and or State laws.

Whereas, throughout pre-recorded, and recorded history, it is an indisputed fact that the ABENAKI NATION and its people have always been spread across a large land mass of the Northeastern part of the North American continent, throughout the many eons of time, and

Whereas, an artificial boundary was set across the ancient ABENAKI TERRITORY by the European colonies, thereby resulting in the splitting of our brothers and sisters, and their clans and bands, young and old, in their Ancient territory onto two, sides of the said artificially imposed line that has made our people to become known as an International Aboriginal Nation, and

Whereas, the forceably seperated bands and clans and people of the SOVEREIGN ABENAKI NATION on both sides of the artificially imposed division known as the U.S. - Canadian border have now, in the year 1994, allied themselves together under the reborn Supreme Council of the Republic of the SOVEREIGN ABENAKI NATION INTERNATIONAL, and under the leadership of its newly elected Grand Chief, Homer St. Francis Sr., and

Whereas, the new unity has come about for the first time in joint Solemn Council and agreement since 1712 and 1713, and it clearly is of foremost importance and necessity that the new unity prevails to prevent, from this day forward, any further encroachments, environmental degradations, illegal acts and activities and acts of genocide against our Nation, our land, and its people by non-natives and "wanna-bes", within and without outside our ANCIENT ABENAKI TERRITORY, and

Whereas, it is the clear and full intent and purpose of the SOVEREIGN REPUBLIC OF THE ABENAKI NATION INTERNATIONAL that ALL eligible ABORIGINAL AND ABENAKI COUNCILS within our ancient territory shall receive their rightful and proper recognition; and

Whereas, brotherhood, friendship, cooperation and trade between all ABORIGINAL PEOPLE and their democratically elected councils within the ANCIENT ABENAKI TERRITORY is in the best interests of the SOVEREIGN ABENAKI NATION and all those who are of ABORIGINAL ANCESTRY.

Therefore be it resolved, that the SUPREME COUNCIL of the Republic of the SOVEREIGN ABENAKI NATION INTERNATIONAL, in SOLEMN SUPREME COUNCIL ASSEMBLED IN ANCIENT ABENAKI TERRITORY, and in SOLEMN AGREEMENT, in brotherhood, friendship and cooperation does hereby recognized as brothers and sisters, the UNIFIED ALLIED COUNCILS and their freely elected leaders, as members councils within the REPUBLIC OF THE SOVEREIGN ABENAKI NATION INTERNATIONAL, and

Be it further resolved, that the SUPREME COUNCIL OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE SOVEREIGN ABENAKI NATION INTERNATIONAL shall render any all requested aid and/ or assistance to the member councils that it can render within the constraints of its abilities to do so, and the same shall be applicable from the member council and between the said member councils to each other and also to the Supreme Council, to include 10% of the yearly net income of each of the member councils to the Supreme Council, and

Be it also resolved, that by the signatures and seals attached hereon, this date, this document does become a permanent and binding agreement between the said councils, and

Therefore, be it finally resolved, that by the signatures and/or seals, or both, attached hereon, this document does hereby become further, a permanent and binding Resolution and Agreement of Recognition, brotherhood, friendship, cooperation and trade between the signatory councils, and it is activated by the signatures and/or seals of the Grand Chief or his official representatives, and the freely elected and recognized leaders of the Allied Councils hereby and hereon attached, and witness to same upon signing and or sealing this day.

My Response:

Why Evansville, Orleans County, Vermont? The answer is Ralph Skinner Swett and the property where Clan of Hawk, Inc. holds its "pow-wow" and events every year. Ralph Skinner Swett agreed to have the Unity (Resolution-Agreement) done where everybody could gather at a Pow-Wow, sign this document. All it was, was "incorporation's" under state-sanction, under the laws of the state, coming together, with their "followers"/solicited "memberships" to witness such a thing. I even referred to this August 1994 Unification of Incorporation's that made the late "Chief" Homer St. Francis Sr. turn into a "Grand Chief" before on this blog. Later, some of these Incorporation's revoked the title of "Grand Chief" to Homer's  and gave that "Grand Chief" "Crown and Throne" to Walter Watso, instead. If Walter Watso couldn't be an "authentic" Chief in his home community of Odanak, by gosh the man could go to Sherbrooke and the United States, and be a "Chief" and then "Grand Chief" of the Abenaki. Plus he could stop by Nancy Milette-Cruger-Lyons-Doucet's place in Bethlehem and sign Artist Certificates and more "important" papers making everyone and their grandmother's "Abenaki" Ambassador's, just like Homer St. Francis Sr.

So, this is how "Cowasuck" "Clan of the Hawk Inc." "Chief" Ralph Skinner Swett got started back in the day. It was all about $$$$, Status, Ego, Power and Control with all of these people claiming to be Abenakis and Abenaki Chiefs, Grand Chiefs, Sub Chiefs, etc. Howard Franklin Knight, Jr. "cooked up the idea" to call the new Incorporation "Clan of the Hawk" because he was pissed off at Paul Wilson Pouliot (then down in Worcester, MA with his "Tribal Headquarters" "Office of the Tribal Council" and his "The Red Hawk Lodge" shenanigans of early 1993) because Pouliot would not give back the Corporation paperwork regarding Abenaki Nation of Vermont. So, to "play games", Howard Knight Jr. and Ralph Swett decided to "do a number on Pouliot" by creating Cowasuck of North America, Inc. in April of 1993 which was two months after Pouliot had created an Incorporation down in Worcester County, Massachusetts called COWASS NORTH AMERICA, Inc. Pouliot claimed to be of the Red Hawk Clan, so in turn Ralph Swett called his Corporation "Clan of the Hawk, Inc." None of these people were legitimately connected to a legitimately historical Abenaki Cowasuck Missisquoi or other Abenaki Tribe. What all these people were connected to, were mere Corporations that had inference's to using the word Abenaki in them, so as to imply that these people, these groups, these organizations actually represented Abenaki People connected to Abenaki Community. Which was as far from the truth, as one could get.

A. Norwich, Vermont at the Farmer's Market. Howard F. Knight Jr. ran into John Scott Moody, the researcher for A.S.H.A. [Abenaki Self-Help Association Incorporated] of Swanton. Exchanged pleasantries then he told me not to anger Jim Medor of A.S.H.A. as dangerous foe, even to my life.

B. Agreed with me that evidence now shows considerable settlements of Abenaki at "Pompy", Thetford Center (just south of bridge and back up into Swanee Bean and in Vershire and Newbury. Thetford settlement as early as 1704.

C. Need to do following to get Federal Recognition;

1. Prove these families that are majority part American Indian going back to earliest known times in and around Thetford, ones that lived prior to arrival of Whiteman and who remained taking basically Whiteman's ideals. Look at following;

a. History of Family Troubles: Alcohol, trouble with Law, Anti-Social Behavior, Juvenile Delinquency.

b. Such families considered outcasts, such as Manning's, Pero's, etc, Knight, etc.

2. Establish Genealogy for 1/64th or more.

3. Work very quietly and keep at it.

4. Consider the families who still live basically their own style outside main stream society and have since early days - continuity of families in area.

5. Just don't anger Swanton - things will work out in time. Clear any major project with Swanton or else. I could get hurt very bad or worse. I asked if I was being threatened. He [John Moody] made it very clear "Blackie" [Leonard Miles Lampman] nor Homer [Homer Walter St. Francis Sr.] accept any bullshit as Swanton's the main place of business as it applies to Abenaki issues - I best to remember it.

NOTE:

I am SHOWING and PROVIDING but a very small fraction of the documentation I have in my possession ... that have been "outsourced" to other people. These documents came from within this so-called "Abenaki Community" [these various Incorporation's throughout New England] so please, do not assume that these historical/hysterical "Abenaki" documents, were "stolen" from either Howard F. Knight Jr. nor from his sidekick buddy/cronie Paul Wilson Pouliot in the past. I can legally, in a Court of Law SHOW and PROVIDE the evidence, and substantiate these documents are not obtained by illegal means. These documents were given to my person legally and without hesitation by various persons associating themselves with these "Abenaki" incorporation's, who claim to be Abenaki Tribes.

It is time (sooner than later, yet as time allows) that these revealing "Abenaki" documents come to the awareness of the general public of VT and NH etc. I will be putting a chronological string of a portion of these documents on this blog presently, yet do not assume that I have merely and only these documents. I have a lot more of these "Chief's Logs" from Howard F. Knight Jr. etc; and much more than these particular documents. Eventually, I will place ALL of these documents onto this blog. Spirit Wind called [Robert Maynard] - All is well, no happenings, evidently Arthur Marchand is quiet.

1500 hours - Spirit Wind called. Paul Wilson Pouliot called earlier, and he and Paul discussed many things. It is the 1st time Spirit Wind felt that Paul was fairly open with him.

1. Paul Pouliot admitted that he is very slow. Also he feels maybe it is time for the Tribal Band to split and a 2nd group to be formed here in Vermont (Paul may have said it "Tongue in Cheek", but when Spirit Wind quickly agreed, Paul kind of stepped back to some degree. Paul may yet go with the formation of a 2nd Coos group, but under me, my leadership.

2. They discussed other methods of getting things done, to include a letter to the Governor of Vermont regards that we are here (the Coos) and a moderate alternative to the Swanton group led by Homer St. Francis. Also,

3. He (Spirit Wind) and Paul talked about my contacting Vermont Representatives regarding Alternative to Homer and our willingness to establish talks.

4. Paul will write a letter to Governor Howard Dean regarding the Coos. Also, he will consider splitting the Coos into at least 2 groups.

5. Spirit Wind [Robert Maynard] and I then discussed the possibility of a Coos Confederation, how it would work and representation; also, how Homer St. Francis Sr. would act (NOT VERY GOOD but Tough Shit).

Also he and I discussed about Inc. and formation of a Coos Legal Division that would include a Legal Dept. with a Prosecutor and a Defender, Paralegals and a Court with a Chief Judge and two Associate Judges. Spirit Wind likes the idea. Once this is done, we could solicit $$ Donors; we both agree this is a necessity. With good funding from reliable sources, we'd be in real good shape.

5. On thing the cop's don't realize is that somewhere he has learned to use Oriental long blade swords and he does know how to use them, as well as knives. She stated, "Chief Howard, once I find out he's gone, I'll let you know; PLEASE, once he's gone, WATCH YOUR BACK, THIS SORRY PERVERT IS DANGEROUS. HE WANTS YOUR HIDE". We agreed that she would have known since she was the one that took me and Ambassador Running Elk and Descharnais to the Airport. [Specifically, Howard F. Knight Jr. is referring to "going out to El Dorado County, CA or San Francisco, CA with Descharnais, a representative for Homer St. Francis' group, for the Sherrie Devee-Jinks-LaBatt Child Custody/ Kidnapping legal "situation" in the previous September 1992 ... wherein Homer St. Francis Sr. of Swanton, VT and Howard Knight Jr. of Newport tried to use that Judicial situation, that they themselves "cooked up" together "an alliance with each other", attempting to use the Indian Child Welfare Act to "recognize" their "Abenaki Nation" "Abenaki Tribes" etc of Vermont...through the Judicial Altercation(s) Scotten and DeVee were having regarding their perspective spouses and children with the State of California] She knew what we took. Dealey has jumped her and he's accused her of taking his Tipi.

7. Liz's husband prevented Liz from being clobbered by George Dealey when he went there about his Tipi and his "junk".

9. Terri Scotten in and out of jail, out on bail and she has a ball-busting lawyer who won't back down. Terri has a fair to good chance of not going to jail, also her lawyer has picked up on the Coos cases and added Genocide to the list of charges against the Abenaki people by the State of California. He is causing quite a stir out there. As she said, "He's a ball buster".

10. Her lawyer had to narrow the case to only the specific tribe Terri belongs to, by Federal Court Judge's order.....

12. Ed, the Medallion maker, He died. He was all eaten up with Cancer. His gall-bladder burst. He lived only about 1-2 hours after surgery. 13. Discussed Roger "Running Elk". She believes he was not honest. Definitiely, Terri should have had her or I awakened and he would not have been able to get away with his crap of forcing her to go.

14. Sherri DeVee, all she will say is that if she comes to Vermont (or New England) we watch out. She is not mad at me but she is mad at Arthur Marchand, his friends and the St. Francis/Sokoki Abenaki Amb. [Ambassador] for Homer St. Francis, Roger "Running Elk" Descharnais of Massahcusetts. I explained regards Arthur J. Marchand.

She said good but, the Amb. (Roger), if she comes East, wish she hadn't. She now knows that he was trying to screw me as the Chief he'll pay dearly. She may go to his house and present herself, to his wife as his wife from California. She'd "wring it (the truth) out of him; if need be, of his conspiracy with DeVee and Wisehawk [Arthur J. Marchand] even before Roger and I came out there. She now realizes that the remarks of "not bothering the Chief w/ the details" meant about the plans to come East by DeVee. Also, Roger Descharnais and Wisehawk discussed DeVee and Terri Scotten coming East while we were there, but at 1st she didn't put it together due to her only hearing bits and pieces of the various conversations. Also she is aware of Roger and Arthur and his lady friend being in contact with DeVee after she came back but never concerned with Terri Scotten who has took [sic] the wrap, and she has told all she knows to the El Dorado County authorities and some Federal agents (she doesn't know if they were FBI or what). Roger, Arthur and his friends are the hook. I'm not.

Called Roland Demers. Discussed getting Recognition for Coos, and associated bands only, from Becancour (W8linak). He stated:

1. He has but R. Price in place re: Coos and he (Price) is out of the picture. Has even apologized for the ruckus stated by him in November.

2. He plans to push to get a NEW Document from Becancour that empahtically states that they recognize all Abenaki, especially the Cowasuck (Coos) and Allied Bands.

3. He feels that Paul Wilson Pouliot, Robert Maynard and I Howard F. Knight Jr., plus Paul [Paul Rene Tamburro] should be at any meeting he can set up. He will definitely skew the Declaration towards the Coos; Homer St. Francis Sr. be damned.

Talked with Spirit Wind [Robert Maynard]. Discussed California call to Liz Smith by me. He feels this nails Roger "Running Elk" Descharnais. He thinks it is funny re: Liz showing up on Roger's doorstep and saying she's his Calif. wife. He hopes it comes about. Roger's wife would go Ballistic and he would be out the door hoping the door didn't hit him in the ass.

Tom "BlackCrow" called. The Beaver Clan of the Winooski are pulling back from the Swanton Group due to the Becancour Resolution, even to pulling out and dropping membership w/ Swanton, those that are registered w/ Swanton - @1/4 of the Beaver Clan.

1. They are now asking that the Cowasuck (Coos) extend to the Beaver Clan and Winoooski Tribal Band recognition-Officially.

2. That I be the assigned Diplomatic Representative to the Winooski from the Coos.

3. In return, I am to advise the Coos Council and all bands of the Coos and all Clans, as of now, they will

4. They are pulling same from Homer St. Francis Sr. and the Swanton Group and from Odanak and giving it to Becancour.

5. They will follow the recognition (Oral and written) with written recongition from them. Tom "BlackCrow" will come here one night (and put it all in writing)

This coming week. Wants me to check and see if it is agreeable to the Coos Council ASAP. I promisted him I would do so. I made it clear that I didn't know what the response would be as to their requests, but I promised again to at least let Chief Spirit Hawk Paul Wilson Pouliot know.

6. The Beaver Clan of the Winooski plan to issue a letter-Resolution of Recognition of Arthur Bill Seymour as the only Chief of the Missisquoi. If Homer St. Francis Sr. doesn't like it. Tough Cookies. He (Black Crow) will get Bill's [Arthur William Seymour?] full name and address when he comes over.

7. They also feel we should develop Articles of Assoc. for the rebirth of the old Coos-Winooski-Pennacook Alliance (this subject could be broached in the formal Document of Recognition if it is possible).

8. They plan to Formally recognize Becancour and ask if our Emmisary could arrange their recognition of the Beaver Clan of the Winooski at the same time that we plan to do so.

Spirit Wind is estactic with the prospect of the implications. He plans to call and let Paul [Paul Rene Tamburro and or Paul Wilson Pouliot] know and they discuss how the Coos will proceed.

Damned if it not be Spirit Wind. He called and he did call and talk to Paul [probably "Spirit Hawk" Paul Pouliot]. They have discussed a Confederation of Coos by various bands such as;

1. The Coos of So. N.E. [Southern New England] - directly under Spirit Hawk [Paul Wilson Pouliot].

2. The Coos of No. N.E. [Nothern New England] - H.F.K. [Howard Franklin Knight Jr.] (Reactivated Retired Chief).

3. The Coos of S.E. [South Eastern] Townships Quebec - R. [Roland] Demers

4. The Coos of Calif. [California], Ore. [Oregon] and Nev. [Nevada] - Nickles

5. The Coos of the So. U.S. - Lynn Sherman

All under the Grand Chief of the Coos Council of North America. Additionally, I would be brought out of Retirement and be the Active Band Chief of the Coos of No. N.E. [Northern New England] and Ambassador to the St. [State] of VT. [Vermont] and S.E. Quebec. Suddenly, Paul Pouliot is favorable to the idea, except the Grand Chief (idea to be sprung on him).

Spirit Wind [Robert Maynard] discuss w. Spirit Hawk [Paul W. Pouliot] how we got involved in the 2 Fed. Ct. actions and who has just re-activated the Calif. Case and modified it for Genocide. He also briefed him how Arthur J. Marchand got us into the mess due to jealosy and how we straightened it out w/ the result that now DSS-Mass [Massachusetts State Department of Social Services] is on the verge of recognizing the Coos and Allied bands of the Pennacook and the Winooski and (thereby it is not my fault. Paul Pouliot is now looking at me in a very different light. Clearly, Paul has a different outlook, to a degree, then he had earlier.

My Response:

As one can review from the above documents, which are a fraction of the documents regarding Howard F. Knight Jr. that exist (and which will be placed on this blog in due time, the man retired, re-actived, stepped down, and retired again repeatedly throughout the 1990's. Always creating an excuse or concocted reasoning to place himself in the position of POWER (Chief, High Chief, or Grand Chief) the "Chief" of the alleged and re-invented Abenakis, no matter the geographical location(s) were simply making up Corporations using the names Cowasuck, Abenaki, Winooski, Missisquoi, and even Pennacook in an attempt to attach themselves (as Inc. Presidents turned Chiefs and their followers turned solicited Tribal memberships) to Abenaki Ancestry they didn't have. Certainly, these were making up Abenaki Culture and claimed heritage to the historical Abenakis without a shred of awareness of just what that Abenaki Culture or heritage actually was. Paul Wilson Pouliot, Paul Rene Tamburro and Robert Maynard were actively associating with Howard F. Knight Jr. created and manipulatively and deceptively against others, and even against each other. Howard F. Knight Jr. seemingly has a paranoid streak in his personality as well. Paul Pouliot also had a paranoid dynamic to his personality too, so I have heard.

Abenaki "Culture Vultures" with their many Corporate-created state-sanctioned "Abenaki" Club's, I would suspect these "Chief's" had every reason to keep looking behind their shoulders all the time, and be paranoid. Their deceptions, their distortions and their dishonesty was their Boogie-Man Monster-Under-Their-Bed's that these Chief's were afraid of.

Who would have thought back in the early 1990's that it would be a "Wannabe-Abenaki" BLOG such as this, that will be full of their own hysterial (oops, "historical") and enduring "Abenaki" Corporation and Related Documents, (that these "Chief's" created by FRAUD) that would haunt these self-proclaiming "Chiefs", "High Chiefs" "Hereditary Chiefs" and or "Grand Chiefs"? Where is the "Cowasuck High Sheriff" when you need one? These people ought to be arrested and put away (incarcerated) for their created and perpetuated lies, deceitfulness, and being the Abenaki/Wabanaki "Culture Vultures", against the Abenakis that these Corporation's have been all along!
