"The Vermont Abenaki Are Genuine" By Ron M'Sadoques and Vera Sheehan of the Elnu Pretendian$ of Vermont

November 24, 2025
The Caledonian-Record Newspaper
By Ron M’Sadoques (OPINION Editorial)

The Vermont Abenaki Are Genuine

To the Editor:
The four, State-recognized Abenaki tribes of Vermont appear often in the pages of newspapers in Vermont and New Hampshire. They are known for hosting cultural events (coming from Odanak); excellence at crafts practiced from pre-contact times (coming from Odanak); keeping the language intact and bringing it to the people (coming from Odanak) ; storytelling and histories (coming from the Wabanaki Peoples); scholarly research – all of the elements of an old, yet thriving culture. The Abenaki of Vermont have been practicing these skills for generations (not true, ONLY since 1975); from before Vermont declared wrongly, in 1791, that Vermont and New Hampshire had no more Indigenous people.

Sociological, anthropological, and cultural evidence of continued ancestral Odanak Abénakis abound, and can be found in books and newspapers throughout the times from Colonial to present. (IF that were true, then the State AG's Office and the Bureau of Federal Acknowledgement would have detected it, right along with Dr. Gordon Malcolm Day, and the Odanak Abénakis would have KNOWN, SAID and WROTE about those other families, right along with Vermont residence, objectively).

And the strongest "evidence" comes in the genealogies and cultural histories that were submitted by the Vermont Abenaki members in the Tribal Recognition Applications to the State of Vermont.

(Of course, because it was the Odanak Abénakis Ron & Norm Sadoques in the post-1990 Elnu group; Trudy (Call) Parker in the Koasek group; Raymond Bernier (Richard 'Skip' Bernier's brother) and David Obomsawin in the Nulhegan group; and Jeanne (DeForge) Brink and Mali (Mary Mason) Keating and Thomas Robert Obomsawin in the St. Francis-Sokoki Missisquoi group.)

Those are the very likely genealogies these Pretendian$ propped up to the 'stacked' Vermont Commission on Native American Affairs and then Legislature committees headed by Senator Vincent Illuzzi, et al.

These group's of Pretendian$ did not SHOW objectively their line of descent from the Historical Abénaki from and of "Vermont" or anywhere else.

What genealogies they may of submitted was "hidden" and REDACTED from PUBLIC
evaluation and scrutiny.

The question is WHY?

They could have easily done as follows:

1. Thomas Woodward and Anne Young
2. Nathaniel Woodward and Mary Brittain
3. Jeptha Woodward and Unk. 1st Spouse (Abenaki?) 😂
4. Apollos "Thomas" Woodward and Rachel Runnells
5. Royal William Woodward and Mary Hawley Sawyer
6. Alonzo John Woodward and Maria Charlotte Robinson

😂😂😂😂

7. George Edward Woodard and Daisy Viola Miller
8. James Corbett Woodard and Maude Elaine Cate
9. Blaine Edward Woodard and Ruth Lucinda Keeney
10. Charles Lawrence Buchholz and Patricia JoAnn Woodard
11. Douglas Lloyd Buchholz

This is the back of my 2nd official 'Homer Card' from Swanton, Vermont
on April 11, 1995

NO OBJECTIVE ABENAKI ANCESTRY NEEDED

Homer wasn't Abenaki either.
None of his group was neither.
The State AG's Report of 2003 showed so.
And so didn't the BIA Reports of '05 and '07 too.

Frederick M. Wiseman PhD. was no Abenaki.

Oh and by the way, be CAREFUL, my late father was an NPE
He was actually a son of a fella surnamed SMITH.
One will not find that prior to my research on ANY document.
It's GENETIC's and VALIDATED.

And the ABOVE documents I got AFTER I moved into Vermont!

The two Federally-recognized villages of Odanak and Wôlinak in Quebec also have been appearing in the papers. Except, their fame is for a campaign of defamation research against the Vermont Abenaki Pretendian$. They have declared themselves the “sole guardians of Abenaki identity” ...

... but are unable to state what authority allows them to make that claim.

(The AUTHORITY comes from the within the ground soil of the Odanak and Wôlinak ancestors buried throughout the Northeast, their ancestral TERRITORY, and FROM Nawawas, the Creator of all Beings)

With a budget from an unknown source (It doesn't take much to seek out the TRUTH and REALITY of the FRAUD), and support from sociologist Dr. Darryl Leroux and blogger Douglas Buchholz ...

... the leadership at Odanak and Wôlinak set forth about five years ago to discredit the tribes. The motivation for the attack is unclear

No, it was not about five years ago, that Odanak and Wôlinak began to QUESTION these groups in Vermont (and New Hampshire).

    It was in 2001 ...

And in 2002 ...

... And later, in September 2003, that Odanak First Nation Chief Gilles Obomsawin addressed Frederick Matthew Wiseman, PhD. of then-Johnson State College, who sought the Odanak Chief to, in letter, validate Mr. Wiseman, as an Abenaki. Wiseman could go 💩 in one hand and wish in the other. Gilles was 'onto the ruse' down in Vermont.

Thanks to Richard 'Skip' Bernier updating Odanak, along with Christopher Roy's awareness, the latter Professor working beside Frederick M. Wiseman in Swanton, Vermont in the early to mid-1990s.

But there was just one wee problem ... Bruce Louis Dubois was claiming he was an Obomsawin descendant, and neither Skip nor Gilles, detected that ruse.

Oh and let's NOT FORGET ... THIS DOCUMENT ...

Donna IMPLIED she was an Obomsawin too!

She and Marge Bruchac were INVOLVED in NAGPRA!

Find the Abenaki Ancestors (hint: THERE ARE NONE

A photograph of a woman and her friend holding corn is NOT objective evidence.

AGAIN, NAMES, DATES and LOCATIONS ARE IMPORTANT

~_____ROBERTS = OBOMSAWIN = DONNA CARVALHO?_____~

Odanak states over and over that the Vermont Abenaki have harmed them, but always fail to elaborate or provide an example.

The research DISCREDITS these groups. Simply read the Vermont Newspapers, etc from 1974 onwards to present! These groups, the St. Francis-Sokoki, the Elnu, the Nulhegan, the Koasek NEVER existed BEFORE 1975. These groups did not exist BEFORE 1791 or at any other time whatsoever. So they are NOT SOVEREIGN either, contrary their "We're a sovereign nation within Vermont" 💩 narratives of post-1975 and especially post-2006.

Koasek, Nulhegan, St. Francis-Sokoki, and Elnu
These groups of Pretendian$ do not even predate 1975
That is the TRUTH and REALITY.

Koasek, Nulhegan, St. Francis-Sokoki, and Elnu groups
What specific TREATIES do come from?

ANSWER: NONE.

Odanak is conducting questionable warfare. The most recent attack is a 731-page report commissioned to Dr. Leroux. Dr. Leroux publishes detailed genealogies which supposedly discredit the Indigeneity claims of a few individuals, including former New Hampshire State Representative Sherry (Blanchard) Gould (R). Dr. Leroux – not a certified genealogist himself – charts the results as high “percentage of European ancestry” in all of the individuals attacked.

Blatantly missing from the report are some of the basics: the way these numbers were calculated; the percentages of Odanak members for comparison; and even some sort of proof that this is a valid measure of Indigeneity. Most disturbing is that there are no citations nor bibliography - only a mention of some open Internet resources (very likely the Drouin Records, the most GENEALOGICALLY COMPREHENSIVE DATABASE on the North American Continent, and perhaps the PRDH-IGD). And the numbers don’t make sense. Sherry (Blanchard) Gould’s 116-page report lists 921 “root ancestors” over fourteen generations. But, going back fourteen generations, one has 32,766 ancestors! Dr. Leroux concludes Sherry (Blanchard) Gould has 99.8% European ancestry, but among only the 2.8% of her ancestors available on these open web sites!

(Then by all means necessary, DO THE GENEALOGY MAPPING of her ancestors, based on her own PUBLIC Records and that of her parents, grandparents, great-grandparents and all their ancestors!)

This is hardly diligent science, and not believable. Contrast this to the diligence required of the Vermont Abenaki Pretendian$ and their Odanak Abénaki Allie$ to prove they are Indigenous ( Bill Status S.222 (Act 107)). The Vermont Abenaki Pretendian$ could never return this volley in kind; besides being a despicable personal attack, this kind of activity breaks many ethical rules of professional genealogists.

Ethical? Ron M'Sadoques and Vera Longtoe Sheehan Schulmeisters want to talk about ETHICAL RULES?

Was this ETHICAL?

Oh and let's NOT FORGET about Marge Bruchac's Stunt of 2009

Wherein she placed HER mother's paternal grandfather
Louis (1844-1918) Bowman
"attaching" him fraudulently
to the Odanak Abénaki Family of François Louis Obomsawin
and that of his wife Agnès-Anne Olinass

And let's NOT even get started with Frederick M. Wiseman's
constructed Applications for FRAUDULENT State of Vermont
"Recognition"
for these 4 groups of Pretendian$

Odanak also doesn’t want to acknowledge that, given the history I described, Indigenous people have often been listed as “colored” or “white” on their birth certificates.

We KNOW from social-historical-and genealogical study evaluation that the Phillips Family of Highgate, and later Burlington, Vermont, were from Antoine (ca. 1810 - 1885) Phillips Sr. in the 1850 Census all the way into the 1940's, his descendants were "passing" ... but consistently some were identified as Black, Colored, Negro, and Mulatto throughout vital records and even Vermont newspapers!

1 + 1 = 2.

This isn't even including the newspaper articles, in total or the genetic testing results afore-mentioned in this blog.

My own birth certificate lists both my father, who was born at Odanak, and I, as “white”. Can one be certain Dr. Leroux’s resources are correct?

DO THE GENEALOGICAL RESEARCH yourselves.

People NOW have the NAMES, DATES, and LOCATIONS.

Dr. Leroux is further misinforming us by going on talk shows and podcasts stating that the Vermont tribal leaders didn’t have to submit genealogies. This is very simply false; the vetting process required detailed genealogies of all of the founding members of the tribes. That documentation was sealed after the recognition process to protect the individuals’ privacy.

I doubt very much that those founding members of these "tribes" proved historical connection to the Abénakis

Abenaki have long been intermarrying with other tribes, colonists, and American and Canadian citizens. Anthropologist William Haviland, in his 1981 book “The Original Vermonters”, attributes Abenaki survival to this genetic diversity, comparing them to other tribes who were lost to history due to inbreeding. The arcane, monarchical European concept of “blood quantum” simply does not apply to the Indigenous.

Today, my biggest fear is that Odanak is setting up criteria by which both the U.S. and Canadian governments can tell near-future generations that such criteria are no longer met, and that there are no more Abenaki. (Well, that's EXACTLY what the BIA and the Indian Act have been doing!)

But hey Ron M'Sadoques LET WHITE PEOPLE become "Abenaki$" eh.

We Abenaki should be experiencing a Renaissance.

Ron must be taking a queue from Frederick M. Wiseman, the FAKE "Abenaki" of the "Abenaki$" of Vermont-and-New Hampshire ... or did Vera write this whole opinion piece 👈 and USE Ron as her Elnu Mafia's "legitimacy"?

But these attacks by Odanak are putting into question the legitimacy of ALL Abenaki. 😂

Playing with, and defending Pretendian$ is worth it eh Ron and Norm?

Makes an Abénakis feel GOOD huh?

Walter Guy Watso done the same.

No one should believe Odanak’s claims.

The process which vetted the Vermont Abenaki is sound, rigorous, and an established standard.

Bull ... 💩💩💩💩💩💩

The claims of Odanak are based on “because we say so!” and junk science.

Vermont State House Presentation of Odanak First Nation in Montpelier, of February 19, 2025 ... "Abenakis" being so "respectful" and being "classy" and "dignified" towards Odanak First Nation. Their Colonizer WHITENESS is showing!

Their lack of kinship as Pretendians to Odanak First Nation or any other Tribal Nation was blatantly on full display ... in more ways than one.

What the _________?!

Perhaps he was simply raising his hand to ask a question ...

That's Donald Warren Stevens Jr. on the far right, seated next to Robert Paull Richard.

That's Melody Ferland 3rd to the right of Michael Greenia.

Michael John Greenia, Brenda (Perretta) Gagne and Robert Paull Richard and others.

Isn't this so dignified and respectful of those by Vermont's "Abenakis" in the room?

If Pretendian looks could kill ...

White + White does not equal "Abenaki"

REVIEW and STUDY at the documentation in the Eugenics & other PUBLIC documents.

THIS is how Melody Ann (Maskell) Ferland decided to disrespect, mock and denigrate Denise Watso, an Odanak Ab
énaki woman of Albany, New York.

White + White does not equal "Abenaki"

Judy (Fortin) Dow claims she merely SELF IDENTIFIES as "French Indian"
and "Abenaki"

I did her genealogical ancestral mapping AND tested her genetic DNA.

Jessica Lynn (Dow) Murray, as was her mother Judy (Fortin) Dow was appointed to the VCNAA.

White + White does not equal "Abenaki"

Yet here, Judy Dow is implying that she is a descendant of the Abénakis.

Judy Dow KNOWS that she does not descend from the Abénakis.

Yet persists in a lie and "self-identifying.

Judy (Fortin) Dow did AncestryDNA, and FTDNA testing.

The End.

The event also included a question and answer period that at times devolved into terse arguments FROM  the crowd at the panelists at the table. Many of the audience’s questions were, effectively, ad hominem criticisms of the panelists’ identities or their qualifications.

Some audience members’ comments seemed to share anti-Canadian sentiment, with one unidentified man shouting “make Canada the 51st state!” as he walked out of the room.

One direct exchange happened between Rich Holschuh, a former chair of the state’s Commission on Native American Affairs who is a member of the Elnu group ... and that of Odanak Abenaki Jacques Watso.

“I’m looking at you, Mr. Watso,” Holschuh told the councilor. “I am related to you.” 💩💩💩💩

“Rich — you’re not,” Watso replied, appearing almost to laugh. 😂

If one listens close enough, one can hear the "David Koresh-ish-ism's" in the way/ method in which Rich actual carefully crafts his cult-speak. Claiming to be Mi'kmaq Indian, and Wendat because of a 1600s ancestor Germain Doucet.

Yet, AFTER well over 347 years of intermarriage with non-Indigenous ancestors in Quebec, Canada,  by about ca. 2016, Rich began the pursuit of turning himself into an "indigenous" persona in Vermont ... AFTER crafting Concrete Countertops (more $$$$$ in becoming an "Indian") in Vermont apparently. IMHO, it's a sleazy slick 'car salesman-like Pretendian con artist campaign against naive Vermont citizens by these Pretendians claiming to be "Abenaki".

Holschuh likes to dress and look the part of becoming "Indigenous"
claiming he is merely "decolonizing himself"

💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

I mean just read Pages of 7 and 8 and "slick talk" and blatant ARROGANCE of a man
self-identifying to be Mi'Kmaq
Simply because he is a descendant of Germain Doucet of 1642

And having become a member of the Elnu group.

That's his "legitimacy"

And of course ... the nose ring.

Bruchac's and Don Stevens of the Nulhegan Rants and so on in 2024.

Complaints of confirmation bias and fuel racist hate speech?

Bruchac's:
"Is it our story to tell? Search for your own ancestors (if you're actively policing someone else's genealogy, you're doing it wrong). Unless someone hires you to help them search for their ancestors, that's their story to research and tell.

In addition to the stated above, it is essential to realize that crowd-sourced non-academic sites like Wikipedia and Ancestry allow members to add their "facts." Although they have some "safeguards," heavily biased and untrue information often gets through."

Confirmation bias (also confirmatory bias, myside bias, or congeniality bias) is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms or supports one's prior BELIEFS or values.

First off, the Bruchac's, years ago, were published in newspapers, as stating that Carol (Worthen) Bruchac's ancestry was merely ENGLISH.

For over 50 years + there was not a peep or squeak by the Bruchac son's or her husband Joe. about HER ancestry being other than derived from EUROPEANS.

WHY all of-a-sudden does Joseph Bruchac bring up Louis Cook and that of Timothy Bedel and Susannah (Willard) Johnson on that blog? Bait? Dangling a carrot? Or do the Bruchac's realize that their narrative about their Louis Bowman not work anymore for their "Abenaki" "legitimacy" so they have to go on other genealogically fishing expeditions, scrounging around in their ancestral garbage cans looking for any scrap of ancestral 'proximity and associations' to the Abenakis in order to "legitimize" the Bruchac's themselves.

Bruchac's have no Abenaki ancestry. Bowman's have no Abenaki ancestry. Neither did Carol (Worthen), Joe's wife, and mother to her own two son's James and Jesse ...

It's NOT about "Indigenous" or "Native American" or "Indian" descent.

It is about the FACT that the Bruchac's have no Abenaki Ancestry. It's NOT about their ancestors proximity or associations or captivity of two months by the historical Abenakis either.

Bowman's On The Record September 2015 THIS is "confirmation bias" perpetuated by the one who is accusing other's of confirmation bias and "fueling racist hate speech".

Be MINDFUL to the ways in which Pretendians / Race Shifters speak and write. They do in fact, deceive, lie by omission, and play trickery with the language they use, intentionally with their usage of particular words.

Case in point: an OPINION "hit" piece in which Donald Warren Stevens Jr. of the 2004 concocted Pretendian group, the Nulhegan Coosuk group (that came out of the Clan of the Hawk Pretendians by deceit and lies and extractions) claims that Darryl Leroux and other experts have inaccurate information.
Does not the chief of the Nulhegan, formerly a member of the Swanton, VT-based St. Francis-Sokoki group, not realize that Leroux has simply cited the State's own published findings on group of Pretendians he himself was formerly a member of, from Eve Jacobs-Carnahan commissioned by the Attorney General's Office of Vermont in 2002? Or how about the Bureau of Federal Acknowledgement Dept. of the B.I.A.'s Proposed Findings of November 2015 and subsequent Final Decision of July 2017?

Or the THOUSANDS of documents from within these groups, including email communication(s) etc., membership lists, and cards, Youtube videos, newspaper articles, etc., that Donald Warren Stevens Jr. seems to FORGET ABOUT pertaining to his group and that of the group he formerly belongs to.

Don "Juan" LOVES to use that word "uplift" but behind closed doors, he's "tearing down" Odanak and anyone else to disagrees with his beliefs, that he's an Abenaki.

Actually Leroux as does Christopher Roy, both fine academic scholars, have an understanding (awareness) of the Vermont Abenaki Experience and both have experience in doing this type of research. So what if Don "Juan" Stevens Jr. has their own "experts" like Sherry (Blanchard) Gould or Randy Kritkausky, a retired academic, who promote Pretendians and Race Shifting Vermont "Abenaki".

The documents from WITHIN these groups etc have been OUTSOURCED, and academics are LOOKING AT and REVIEWING the merits of these Vermont "Abenaki" right along with the genealogies of those claiming to be "Abenaki" by the THOUSANDS today. Don Stevens touts the narrative that his maternal grandmother Lillian/ Pauline / Delia was "hiding" for fear of Eugencial Sterilization in her lifetime, yet this narrative has been debunked.

Importantly, Don "Juan" implies that the Eugenics SURVEY Records were State Records, That such records "clearly shows that his Phillips family were Indians." He likes to point at those records as PROOF but that is also debunked 100%. Those insinuations inside the VES study of the Phillips Family were merely subjective claims made by those descendants "passing" as having implied ancestors allegedly of the Caughnawaga Mohawk Indians .... NOT ABENAKIS. And we know about the Kickapoo Identity Hijacking in Danville, Vermont back in the day, by Gypsy Devil Jake Way of Paradise Alley along with some of the Phillips' too.

Mr. Don Stevens, in his OPINION "hit" Piece against Odanak and Leroux et al. simply doesn't address the nagging questions. HOW are they of the Nulhegan group or any other ACTUALLY ABENAKIS when they have been undocumented being Abenakis for over 300 years?! They are in FACT documented as French-Canadian or Black Descendants in those 300 years. Genetic testing proves this out 100%.

Richard "Skip" Bernier testifying on his own behalf, nor Timothy De LaBruere or even Jeanne (Deforge) Brink ever officially testified or acted on the behalf of Odanak First Nation. Don Stevens Jr. KNOWS this. Stevens is lying because I have the documentation.

Again it s not about "Native" ancestry. I know that Don Stevens descends from a "Native" ancestor.

Or "Native American" or "Indian" or "Indigenous". What Don "Juan" omits from his diatribe of a VTDigger opinion "hit" piece is that they are NOT ABENAKI DESCENDANTS, they do not descend objectively from ANY KNOWN ABENAKI HISTORICAL COMMUNITY OR TRIBE OR NATION.

NOR does he actually have ABENAKI ANCESTORS. Marie Sylvestre was an ALGONQUIN HURON. But like Sherry (Blanchard) Gould and a THOUSAND other Pretendians, they have turned Marie Sylvestre Prevost into an "Abenaki" for their own purposes and agendas. Just as Rhonda (Besaw) Grimes - True has attempted to do, in their lust for personal and political "legitimacy".

Taken in part or in whole, Don Stevens really hasn't proven objectively anything. He omits that he was on the Board of Directors as a member of the Homer St. Francis Sr. group in Swanton, Vermont, and that he jumped over to the Nulhegan "as chief" in 2010 so as to manipulate the VCNAA being "stacked" with these Pretendians so they could grant themselves approval of their own group's petitions for fraudulent state recognition. That it was NON ABENAKI Pretendian/ Johnson State College Professor Frederick M. Wiseman who had constructed those petitions. That these groups had Odanak descendants within their ranks, which provided the pseudo "legitimacy" of these groups of Pretendian "Abenakis" / race shifters.

Homer's group: Jeanne (Deforge) Brink (Obomsawin), John Sherwin, Mali Keating (Sadoques) et al.
Elnu group: Ron and Norm Sadoques (Sadoques) et al.
Koasek group: Trudy (Call) Parker (Toxus) et al.
Nulhegan group: Raymond Norbert Bernier (Obomsawin) et al. (Skip Bernier's brother)

Of whom, NONE of these people had the ability to gain First Nation's STATUS at Odanak, from when their Abenaki ancestors came from, back into Vermont and other states!

Who's genealogies did these group's point to for their "legitimacy" to those Vermont politicians, in order to shit all over Richard "Skip" Bernier and other actual Abénakis from or of Odanak First Nation?!

That's what Don Stevens omits in his diatribe rant of "legitimacy" in the recent VTDigger OPINION "hit" piece.

ALSO Be ATTENTIVE to the institutional agencies in which give the DECEIT and LIES room to flourish without qualification, and objective evidence. These agencies and institutions, including some within Native Communities and persons who ALSO often prop up and promote Pretendians to the point of "protecting" the dynamics that afflict those same Native communities.

Joseph Edward Bruchac III
INSISTING
that his Grandfather Jesse Elmer Bowman
and his Great-Grandfather Louis Bowman
were Abenakis. 😂

Really? Cause where I am sitting, having done the research ...

Just like I done "Buffy's" research on her lies ...
and gave my research to CBC Canada

I have also been doing the research too on the Bowman's, the Vaudry's and the Bruchac's...

 Y-DNA results and Genealogical Documents
SHOW OBJECTIVELY otherwise.

Notre Dame de Granby Parish, Shefford County, Québec, Canada:
English: June 11th, eighteen hundred and forty-five, we the priest undersigned have baptized Louis, born July 20th, eighteen hundred and forty four, at/of Ely, of unknown parents.
Godparents: Louis Sénécal (maternal grandfather) and Josephte Vincent (dit Jarret) (maternal grandfather's second wife), who could not sign.
The Roman Catholic priest who signed this particular baptism record was Jean-Fleury Baudrand.

Jean-Pierre Beaudry matches multiple Louis (1844-1918) Bowman descendants in AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, 23&Me and Family Tree DNA.

Since January 2016, having tested Robert H. Bowman, we have tested the Y-DNA and evaluating the atDNA (autosomal) results over days, weeks, months and years. First Robert matched at M269, with no results on the Y-DNA. But one day, he matched to PWS Vaudry. That tester and I communicated, evaluated respective genealogical paternal lineages, and I encouraged PWS Vaudry to begin a Vaudry Surname Project within FTDNA, and I began looking for other Vaudry male surnamed potential testers at my own expense. Edward Vaudry, George Vaudry and Ernest Vaudry, et al.

LeBoeuf matches to the Vaudry's because of a NPE (meaning: Non Paternal Event) happened in the 1700s between a male Vaudry and a female LeBoeuf in Quebec, Canada.

So when the Bruchac's INSIST that their Great Grandfather Louis (1844-1918) Bowman was an Abenaki, and that his son Jesse Elmer Bowman was an Abenaki too, PAUSE for a minute or two, review what I just shared with you kind folks in America, here in this blog, what the Y-DNA of the Bowman's is telling not only the Bowman's and the general Public, but also what the Bruchac's are DENYING, as of June 10, 2024.

Now ask yourselves WHY are they in DENIAL as to the Baptismal Record and that of the DNA results?

WHY haven't the Bruchac's NOT mentioned ANY of this on their blog that began on October 01, 2023.

September 30, 2023:

It's a SIMPLE QUESTION.

October 1991: "My brother Joe and I researched Jesse Bowman's background 'because of his physical appearance and found that he was part-Native American. Ultimately, Jesse Bowman's sister-in-law (Katherine née Gray who had married Dwight E. Ritchie in 1907 and then Jesse Bowman in December 1911, and later to John Jack Bowman in November 1917) wrote a letter (to Joe) "confirming" that Jesse (her former husband Jesse as well as Jack, has been part-Native American.

How can that alleged letter be anything but subjective, probably written 'under duress & pressure', and written by allegedly Katherine, when in FACT, Louis Bowman Sr. (1844-1918) was illegitimate, of two French-Canadian parents? NOT from "St. Francis = Odanak First Nation" ...

It takes a simple GOOGLE SEARCH to collect the pieces of the puzzle ... to detect a prominent Pretendian, much like "Buffy" (Beverley Jean Santamaria). Doesn't take a rocket-scientist at all.

But DENIALISM by Pretendians is much like the denial river that Rachel Dolezal has been swimming in too.

Pretendian-ism is very much like the fraud referred to as STOLEN VALOR. It's just as damaging to Abenakis and other Native Peoples as it is to the Soldiers who fought and died, or been maimed and traumatized, who have to confront FAKE pretend people who 'dress' up and lie about their service records, if they have such in first place.

It isn't about Indigenous, or Native American, or Indian, or whatever. Bruchac's and THOUSANDS of other Pretendians DO NOT HAVE ABENAKI ANCESTORS.

Pretendians/ Race Shifters constantly be digging through their ancestral garbage cans looking for any scrap of Native ancestry, even back 200 to 340+ years ago, in the hopes of putting on an 'air' of "legitimacy" for Profit$$$$$$$$. If they find one 300+/- years ago, it's like winning the Lottery these days.
